"This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat..."

"The staff at Sand Beach was AMAZING! They made my solo trip fabulous and easy. The rooms were great and cleaned every day. The onsite food was fresh and tasty. Pool area was picturesque.

"A smaller hotel but with provided a great experience. The staff were outstanding from reception to the bar. The rooms were very cool (we had a family room) and large, clean and very well appointed. The restaurant always looked good with many options enough to satisfy kids too. The kids also loved the pool & table tennis games room. The Dive centre in the hotel was also excellent and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It all worked well. Just over an hour from the airport but plenty stuff...

"The property is about 1hr 30mins from Zanzibar town, however is spacious and great place to relax. They have a private beach and the water is turquoise and white sand. Staff are multilingual and very professional and friendly. Alex, Abdul, Nasri and the whole team made our stay worthwhile and the all inclusive choice make the difference. "We loved our stay at the Samawa living hotel. Great room rooms, loved the outdoor shower, good food in the restaurants and they had a great band for the Sunday night barbecue dinner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it and we’ll stay there again if we return to Zanzibar."
"Setting was lovely as were the staff. The food was very good but the room was very basic. Very small, no chair and nowhere to put luggage, only on the floor which was difficult and a trip hazard. Our outside space was great but our room was under the kitchen which was very noisy. Overall way too expensive for what we got."

"This is a beautiful hotel expect the roads. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly and the food was good. Breakfast left something to be desire but overall was a great stay. We enjoyed it and had fun. It is also close to the beach which was a plus."

"This is my second time staying at Meliá, and it won’t be my last. It’s not only because the hotel and grounds are beautiful. It’s the staff, they are exceptional, they’re the most friendly, smiley, professional and provide amazing service. Every room is cleaned twice a day and I’ve left valuables lying around and everything has always been safe.
My only complaint this time was that there was no working light in the shower but other than that everything was 10/10."
