“We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...

“There were one or two drawbacks, my room was on the second floor with no lift available, however, my luggage was carried up the stairs for me by the receptionist. There was a problem on the first night with air conditioning, but this was remedied the next day. Overall I would not hesitate to return to the hotel next time I am in St Albans. ”
