East Side, New York hotel rooms at the La Quinta Inn & Suites

"Wonderful hotel with an exceptionally nice and helpful staff. My only criticisms are that there was no coffee maker in the room (I know lots of hotels are eliminating coffee makers but I don’t like that), no washcloths with the towels (washing flannels to our friends from the UK), and no glasses in the room. I also prefer a sit down breakfast place with wait staff rather than a place with a line where you have to pick up your order and carry it yourself. And I’m an old guy. Can’t we just get bacon and eggs with toast? Does it have to be a breakfast burrito, et al? But I like the place and have already recommended it to others."

"I stayed at this hotel every week for about 4 months because of my job. The best thing about this hotel is that it’s close to everything. Grand Central Terminal is right next door. Times Square is in walking distance. The subway, metro north and the Long Island Railroad is next door. 5 th avenue is one block away. This hotel is a little dated and could use some renovations. The furniture is a little old. This hotel is a little pricey but the location is excellent."

"Central location, perfect if you need somewhere to just sleep. Breakfast was an additional fee and didn’t seem worth it. Luggage storage is also $3 a bag. Not a lot but I was under the impression it was included. No big deal though. Would def sta here again."

"Overall, my experience was good! The shower drain took over 5 minutes to drain out so I was left standing in water before getting out of the shower. The AC/heat unit appeared to be set on heat and could not adjust it so had to open the window for cool air."

"This was a lovely place to stay. Despite being in NY the room was quiet and big and luxurious. The quality of linens and towels was great. My only complaint would be that there was a big line to check in and check out. They should have more staff at the desk. Otherwise great location and stay"
