"Had a brilliant few days stay at the cottage, the phrase that comes to mind is home away from home. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Location for us was perfect with the monsal trail on its doorstep, loads of walking trails nearby and not far from Buxton. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend, thank you"

"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. The windows had all been opened beforehand to air out the house. Towels were provided for each person which was handy as my girls forgot theirs. The beds were quite hard but...

"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"Parking was not clear – it was hidden through some black gates between shops, and we had to call the owner to even find out where it was. The property is advertised as “apartments,” but our room was just a bedroom, with the bathroom and kitchen being shared. The place felt unsafe and unhygienic – the cooker alone (see photos) was a good example of the poor condition. We rang the owner, but he didn’t want to know. I rarely leave reviews up to this point but was left feeling like this 'apartment' is a room in a multi occupancy house and it felt a bit.....what's the right word......DHSS ish. I didn't use the communal kitchen as someone in there was, well a bit weird, looking disturbed. I just think I was looking for cheap and cheerful. It was cheap. "

"On arrival we were told expedia had trippled booked out the property that we had booked. We were then taken to a house in shelton, which looked like student accommodation, it was disgusting, it had dirty sheets and out of date milk in the fridge. The microwave was also dirty, don't get me started on the clensinous of the house. We could only have 2 out if the 3 bedrooms. At 2 am the police knocked on the door with 2 men who were absolutely out of their mind drunk. They were staying there too....

"Property was clean. Not as stated entire property. Shared facilities. Bathroom via the kitchen on ground floor had child. Did not feel we could relax here as thought we had entire apartment. Outside next to little shop. Traffic island outside meant couldnt park outside and single line. Area around property made us feel unsafe- wasnt the best."

"Fantastic stay. Please dont be put off by the lack of reviews on here. Myself and 3 friends had a brilliant long weekend. The cottage is nicely decorated and very clean. Bedding and towels were included (the description for the cottage says otherwise, but they are there). A full working kitchen with all the equipment you need. The log burner was set up and ready to go to. The only thing missing was shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, so take that with you. Everywhere else was very well...
