Bel Air is a cute little hotel that feels remote, but is only a short bus ride (5 minutes) into Echternach. Additionally, the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. No need to navigate your way in the dark if you are arriving later. Breakfast is a bit pricey for what is offered, but again, it is very easy to get to Echternach for more dining options. Busses are reliable, within 2 or 3 minutes of the schedule. Easy access to the Mullerthal hiking trail.

A nice stay at a classic hotel

The hotel room had a classic aesthetic and was immaculately clean. While there are downsides to classic rooms (few plug sockets, no air conditioning) I appreciated the high ceilings and the space. The sauna in the basement was excellent, and the reduced hours were still generous. Breakfast was pretty good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is on a bus stop, so travelling around is easy (and free). I would encourage the hotel to consider a simpler food option for the evenings - perhaps a pizza oven to make use of the lovely terrace.

Loved the location

A beautiful peaceful countryside stay by the forest, I would love to go again but sadly the receptionist lady's behaviour was strange the way she looked at us, like we're not welcomed I love travelling and I visited over twenty countries but never happened this before. I'm not complaining but this is unusual specially on four star hotels.

Alternate place to stay for business

If you are looking for a place to stay outside of the city when in LUX for business I would recommend this hotel. Rent a car, as its 30mins from city centre. Service was excellent. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Quiet and away from the city lets you relax from the day or focus in piece on business. Not much around the hotel other than paths walking through nature.

No sleep due to event.

Avoid booking this hotel for a Saturday night. They plan events like weddings. The party will go on until the wee hours in the morning. If you went to this hotel hoping to sleep, then you chose the wrong hotel. If there is such an event they will tell you a few days before your stay, so there is no chance of booking hotel where you can actually sleep. Guest will roam the halls being loud going in and out of their rooms and the DJ will assume only people at the event is at the hotel and crank up the volume. If you complain about this the hotel will shrug and tell you it's not their problem and is out of their control. Any other day of the week I'm sure it's fine. The breakfast was good.

Beautiful hotel with some cautionary advise

Lovely location, extremely helpful lady on front desk who spoke very good English. Beautiful spacious room with balcony. Just two disappointing issues, when using the shower the water would suddenly got dangerously hot; so much so it left a red scald mark on my chest for an hour, so I would suggest any children have a bath instead as their delicate skin may not recover so easily. The second issue was that the dining room was closing early the evening we stayed giving diners the only option of 6.30 dining which was too early for us so we went into town. I’m sure this must have been an exception to the rule being a Monday in early February. Particularly lovely touches with complimentary toiletries, fresh fruit, water, coffee machine and cereal bars.

Hotel is gedateerd, maar wel op een charmante wijze! Dus niet oud en kapot, maar mooi oud en nostalgisch. Ongelofelijk aardig personeel. Ook fijn dat wanneer je een aantal dagen verblijft, niet telkens ander personeel achter receptie staat. Bed sliep heerlijk. Douche is dan wel wat hoort bij een ouder hotel, niet consistent qua warmte. Maar ach, deed ons weer denken aan vroeger. Wat betreft badkleding of bloot in de sauna was ons onduidelijk. Bord bij ingang heeft het alleen over badkleding voor zwembad, maar het zwembad is niet beschikbaar. Maar begreep van andere sauna gasten dat gemengd (bloot en badkleding) geen probleem is. Ook heel fijn, op de kamer liggen de badjassen en saunahanddoeken klaar. En als je slippers vergeten bent, deze krijg je gratis bij de receptie. Dineren in hotel is wel haute cuisine. Erg lekker en hebben ook 2x gegeten maar wij zouden het ook heel fijn hebben gevonden om wat eenvoudigere te kunnen bestellen. Want na een lange winterwandeling over ijspaden en glibberige trappen, is een lekker schnitzel ook voldoende. Ook heel fijn: gratis OV en bushalte voor de deur van hotel. Download wel even de app zodat je precies kan zien hoe laat er een bus komt. We komen zeker terug!

Helaas heeft het hotel een beetje van zijn grandeur verloren. Wel een mooi gebouw. De wellness was ronduit teleurstellend. We wisten wel dat het zwembad was gesloten, maar ook de hamman was kapot , waardoor er enkel 1 sauna was. Ok voor 1 nachr, maar aan de dure kant voor wat je terugkrijgt.

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Zimmer wie erwartet Tip top. Sauna nicht komplett in Funktion ( duschen gingen bei Sauna nicht und nur eine Sauna war an.) Der Wasserdruck bei den Duschen in den oberen Zimmern war sehr schwach leider Aber zum Wandern optimal. ( Für das was ich suche, top - wer Wellness sucht sollte aber was anderes nehmen)

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel avec mon compagnon. Personnel accueillant et sympathique. Chambre dont le style est d’une autre époque, particulier mais bien agencé. Chambre propre, lieu inspirant le calme. Terrasse agréable, un atout pour la chambre. Literie super, confortable. Cependant, nous ne mettrons pas une note plus élevée pour plusieurs raisons: 1) À notre réservation, l’hôtel nous prévient qu’un mariage a lieu au même moment que notre séjour. Ils mentionnent que des mariages ont lieu régulièrement chez eux, que les clients ne se plaignent généralement pas du bruit et qu’ils feront le nécessaire afin que notre chambre soit à l’opposé de la salle de réception. Nous avons donc été assez surpris d’avoir eu une chambre, certes au 4e étage, mais juste au dessus de la salle de réception. Nous avons entendu la musique et les basses toute la nuit (le bruit venait par la cage d’escalier). 2) Nous avons été assez surpris lorsque nous avons découvert le wellness. La piscine a été vidée et convertie en zone de détente avec des chaises longues dans le fond. Et mis à part le sauna, le hammam et les chaises chauffantes, il n’y avait pas grand chose d’autre. Même si certaines installations fonctionnent, nous avons été super déçus par les infrastructures. 3) Le petit déjeuner a emporter à 15€, beaucoup trop cher pour ce qu’on reçoit.. En bref, hôtel ok, chambre confortable, mais ne vaut pas vraiment son prix à notre sens
