“The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean and tidy. The tv was not a smart tv as stated and the shower was very small , I’m glad neither of us were big people as it was tight to get between the shower and sink to use the toilet and there was no tv in the bedroom , we found on arrival a hot tub which I wish we knew about , unfortunately it was not the weather to use it. yes we would stay again despite the few little negative things . ”

“My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money. It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. The cottage is well equipped although some mobile service providers, (Vodafone) do not cover the area. Locally there is a small shop come P.O....

“Location is great for the town and if you cant find any parking on the street there is a carpark about 5min walk away @ £3 - 24hrs. Property is currently up for sale and needs a little work but the bathroom and kitchen are relatively new and everything else has had a lick of paint just needs a bit of modernising and the garden needs work and isnt secure at the back meaning the dog needed to be let out on a lead every time but did us for the short break we had.”

“Lovely tidy property, had all the mods and cons needed but the walls were a little thin and we could hear our nextdoor neighbours, And they could probably hear us. The hot tub was a selling point for us but unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest and couldn’t use it for long. (2 evenings max). Also, the bed was a little too short for my 6ft4 husband.”

“A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. Will consider a revisit in warmer weather if we need a place to stay in the area in the future.”
