The front desk staff were good and helpful. The room is decent for the price in the area. Breakfast is OK but a bit limited in choice. We used the restaurant once in the evening and would not recommend it, especially if you don't speak Spanish. The food was good but it was a constant back and forth (made worse by lack of Spanish on our part) to get different parts of the meal delivered. One caution - don't use the taxi service the hotel recommends as they are very unreliable. The hotel should really stop suggesting them.

The inn is way too far from the town center forcing you to either have a rental car or walk 40 minutes from the center to get to your hotel. The hotel is just not a practical option if you want to be immersed in El Calafate. The walk is also very dark and a bit rural, making me nervous to walk at night so far out from the town square. Also didn't appreciate that each room did not have its own conditioning/heater system. Our room was way too hot and was not able to be changed to our liking.

Endroit qui a du cachet . L’espace extérieur donne sur le lac Argentino et les montagnes aux crêtes enneigées . La chambre donnait sur le lac , le surplombant. Mobiliario muy viejo. Lejos del centro

El hotel está lejos de el centro de El Calafate. No hay nada cerca, ya que está en lo alto de un cerro. Hay que coger el coche para ir al centro. La decoración del hotel y los muebles de las habitaciones, son MUY ANTIGUOS, y no le vendría nada mal renovarlos todos. El desayuno deja bastante que desear. Por otro lado la persona de recepción super amable y servicial.

Nice Hostel needing better breakfast and WiFi

The hostel was nice. The room was adequate for what we paid and had nice furnishings.the staff were nice and helpful as well. One thing that we were very disappointed about was that the hostel claimed it had WiFi but we never got it to work the entire time we stayed (3 nights). Also, I’m not sure if the people of Argentina are not big on breakfast but you may want to plan on getting breakfast elsewhere as the “breakfast” they offer is subpar at best.

Lovely views from this hotel

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a little out of the way but we knew that and enjoyed the view and the serenity. The staff were pleasant and very helpful with food allergies. The wifi was intermittent but when asked the staff seemed to be able to fix it. We really recommend the restaurant Mirabelle opposite the entry to the nature reserve.
