After an emotional weekend, attending the funeral of a loved one, and seeing family members after a year long absence, including my Mother, I was greeted first by a phone call to make sure we were still coming, and then by a smiling night desk person when I arrived at the hotel. She asked about our trip, marveled at the round trip mileage (2600 miles) that we were accomplishing in less than a week, and happily gave us our room key. She explained ammenities, and gave us directions to our room. When we thought we were overcharged, she explained the process completely.
The hotel was nice and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only problem was with Paige at the front desk. It took her 20 mins to do a 3 minute task of removing the tax from my bill. 1st she tried to tell me that she couldn't do it, then tried to tell me it's difficult to do with online reservations, and finally when she figured out how to do it I just grabbed the receipts and left. When I got to my final destination I realized that she didn't remove all of the taxes from my bill. I wish she would've been honest and admitted that she didn't know how to do it and ask for help.
