"The architecture of Pousada Armenteira was quite unusual; you see it on the right as you come down the camino path into Armenteira. It is a glass & concrete building with weathered wooden uprights on the facade.
The interior has polished wood floors and walls; interesting exhibits of local artists.
The receptionist was charming & helpful; check-in very easy.
A very good breakfast is included. No bar or evening meal available, but 1 cafe open 'til 5pm & 1 bar+ restaurant, near the monastery, serves evening meal from 7-11 pm.
The room & bathroom were very clean. Beds comfortable. Shower facility quite unique; suitable for disabled access; bath serves as drain-has a liftable over, which is flush with the floor--lift it & you have a sunken tub!
It is more than a guest house, it has the capacity for corporate events."
