โThis is an exceptional property, beautifully restored from a sprawling 17th century Catalan farmhouse. The couple that run it are very engaging and helpful and the food, prepared by the husband, is simply outstanding. It is very much in the country and a great place to relax and disconnect, which was what we wanted from the experience. If you want a more urban experience, this is not the place for you, but we just loved it. It was stunning.โ

โWe had a wonderful stay. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The decor is spare, in a good way. Clean and minimal. The food was delicious, and they happily accommodated our request for vegetarian meals. They offered good recommendations for hiking areas. The property caters to cyclists, which we did not realize and have nothing to do with, but it was perfect for us on a couples sightseeing vacation as well. โ

โHotel Restaurant Sausa provides excellent value for money spent. The room was very clean with a refrigerator and a large bathroom with wall-in shower. It is not fancy, but it met our needs. There is a nice big pool and an on site restaurant, but we did not utilize either. This is a convenient base for day trips to Girona, Figueres, Besalu, and the Mediterranean coastal towns.โ
โThe location, ambience, amenities, staff, amazing pool and rooftop breakfast, onsite brewed beer, elegant bedroom all combined to make it one our best experiences in MANY years of traveling. (I rarely take the time to write a review, but it was truly exceptional)โ
