"Ivanhoe is a real gem in a crowded hotel market in Darjeeling. Takes you back to the British colonial Era. will always be my first choice at Darjeeling."

"Relatively good location close to down town sites. Clean rooms and hot water. Linens smelled fairly fresh. Screaming child till midnight somewhere downstairs echoed through the hotel. "The staff are lovely and helpful and hotel is quite nice. Its location is also very central. The hotel room was quite cold, however, due to gaps between the windows and the window frame. The hotel offers heaters but these are reasonably pricey. I was able to manage in November but I suspect it would be miserable in December and January. Also the hot water supply was inadequate. It took 20-25 mins to heat up and I found that I had to turn up the heat every minute to keep it reasonably warm."
