"There was an issue with the radiator in my room. Staff were very helpful they offered me a heater or to change room. I opted to change room and they moved my belongings for me whilst I was out. It was seamless. The bar staff were very friendly and service was quick. Overall I enjoyed the comfort and friendliness of everyone. A very pleasant weekend despite storm Austin."
"I booked through Expedia which meant the hotel didn't get the information to turn the room into a twin. So we had to put up with that for a night. We weren't massively impressed by that, nor by being tossed 2 free drinks card - undoubtedly to make us feel better about the unresolvable situation - which we didn't use because I find this people management system quite insulting.
However, it was rectified in the morning by housekeeping. Housekeeping kept the tea and coffee well stocked and there was a fridge with cold drinks in our room.
Breakfast was great.
Nice atmosphere.
There is a bit of outside noise that you could hear as well as corridor noise on floor 3.
Rooms were being upgraded and they are lovely, but there is some noise from that if you were planning on sleeping past 9am.
Curtains are blackout, though if the slightest bit of light affects you, make sure you make the curtains and walls meet."
"Easily accessed just off the A38, with parking available.
Very clean bedroom with a lovely shower, TV and tea making facilities.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Excellent food offered for breakfast including 'continental' and 'cooked full English' choices."
"Everything about the hotel was fantastic except for the parking. We paid to park which is fine but sometimes the disabled parking spots were full of vans which didn’t display a disabled badge. I told the person at reception but they said they couldn’t do anything about it"
"Great spot.Pretty decent facilities but they are getting a littles tired. One of the radiators didn't work. A shower handle was missing. Door lock to one of the bathrooms was very loose and would come off. Boilers noise is a real pain...sounded like buzzing bees and would keep guests awake in adjacent rooms if water was used anywhere in the chalet. Staff did say maintenance had gone home when items were reported but they would be out in the morning to look. Unfortunately no sign of any maintenance team! A real shame as have used the hotel on many occasions but this just didn't quite live up to what we were hoping for."
