“Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to.”

“The hotel itself was fine and the breakfast very good, however the highest priority for me was getting a good night's sleep. The mattress on the bed was awful. The metal springs could be felt through the thin mattress cover to such an extent I found it painful to lie on. “Overall our stay was OK - what wasn't great was when we arrived the lift was still out of service and we were on the third floor, with heavy bags and someone with asthma. The room was, again, OK - hadn't been cleaned properly though with dust along the bar behind the bed and a big brown stain on the floor to the right.
