I needed a break from Moroccan food. So I went to a Spanish Restaurant. And then I ordered the very un-Spanish like plate of sushi.

It was just what I needed.

Moulay Yacoub

While you're in Moulay Yacoub, you might want to check out the spas.

Moulay Yacoub
“Blue? It’s green!” we hear you cry! The other side is blue, but this side is green, the colour for Islam. Standing since 1913, this is the gate that represented all the Arabian Night stories. We got up at 5.30am to get shots without people. If you like this angle you need to head to the roof of the Cascade Hotel. For a few dirhams the sleepy doorman will let you in and lead you up. Seeing the sunrise over this very special city while the Mu’azzin sing out the prayer call is a must. Should you head that way, please send our love to Fes. #history #fes #morocco #babboujeloud

I enjoyed fez but not our lodging. You only need a few days in Fez.

Safe at night, very nice and friendly people. There are people like Marrakech in the street tried to get money from pointing directions, but not pushing. They are not rude even being declined (the people in Marrakech is worse)

Fes is a unique city with so much to see. It’s a real feel of Morocco, the people are warm and hospitable, the food is wonderful, and it’s a vibrant place.

Be cautious of the faux guides on the streets who seem like they want to help you but will give you false information and also demand a tip at the end of their "service". Arrange for guides through the Riad or hotel at which you stay.
