we booked in 8mths ago and rang a few days prior to let them know that we were arriving a day late and that we would be there on a certain date and the time, this was not expedia,s fault at all this was fully the hotels doing.arrived with my 2 children to be told we had no booking. I said you have to be joking and they said no they are fully booked and my name was not on their bookings. The only reason I became lucky was im a fiji regular and knew of other places to try and I had a hire car. The staff at shanlini didn't even bother to help me all they said was sorry booked out nothing we can do. I spoke to numerous friends and other accomadation places and they all said the same thing, they knew of someone the same thing happened to. they were very well known for just taking in 1st in 1st served basis no matter if you had a booking prior or not. so im hoping no other person books this place and the same thing happens to them. I was highly disappointed in the treatment of this hotel. what would have happened if I didn't have a hired car and had just been dropped off by taxi expecting my room to be there. what would have happened if it was my 1st ever trip to fiji I wouldn't have know what to do or where to go. I was so lucky Narayans apartments down the road took us all in on such short notice. I give a minus 10 for this place. do not ever stay here unless you want to be left out on the street with your children and luggage.
