“Comfortable bed- clean room - amazing breakfast!”

“Great place to stay. Spacious bedroom with a good bed and quality bedding. Radio and TV in the room plus tea and coffee making facilities plus welcome shortbread on arrival. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. It is situated on a busy road but don’t let that put you off - see if you can get one of the quieter rooms at the back. Worth a visit and situated in a great area/countryside.”

“Hilary and Mark, mother and son were both very pleasant and helpful. Some good suggestions about different places to visit in the area.”

“We loved staying in this 13th century inn. We were given a room in the original section of the inn - amazing wattle and daub walls, original timber work and wonky floors! The River Avon flows past the front of the Rose and Crown property. A beautiful settling and a privilege to be able to stay here! If you love history, this is the place to stay in Salisbury.”

“Lovely setting, vegetarian breakfast was very good, comfortable stay, nice walk across Harnham Water Meadows to Salisbury.”

“The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill.”
