"The location was a bit of a ways away from the main hub/lake in Voss, maybe twenty five minutes, but that was no problem because of the stunning views the property, which is up on a mountain, afforded. The Stalheimskleivi Road, a steep path and hiking trail along a mountainside with views of waterfalls and greenery, is right behind the hotel, and it's quite the tourist attraction. The hiking going down was awesome. Coming back up took a lot of energy. lol. There are pastures with sheep nearby. We had a double room and it was no frills: no tv, no coffee machine, no microwave, just basically a bed and bathroom. The hotel is quite old and could use some renovations. You're basically paying for the awesome views and the relative seclusion. Oh, and the breakfast offered a nice variety-- sausage, bacon, eggs, paté, pastries, different breads. Their bar served us until 11pm, We only stayed for one night, so the no frills room was fine."

"We really appreciate the washer and dryer that is available to guests. Wonderful waterfall views from room. Windows open to let fresh air in. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Staff are helpful and very nice!"

"Great location for Flåm Train and Cruise on the Nutshell route. Easy Hotel parking but limited spaces. We were lucky! Food trucks right outside with great affordable options but close early so check first for dinner hours…housekeeping and breakfast staff helpful and friendly. Viking dinner was good but staff seemed disorganized. Dinner was rushed even though we had “90” minutes. Appetizer salad served after entre was delivered. Food was not hot, just warm. Our waiter was very nice. Decor outstanding. Breakfast not as good as expected after staying at 5 different hotels throughout Norway. Fewest options of all of them! Access to upper floor rooms very awkward . Curved, narrow staircase. The reception clerk carried ours up for us. No wall plug beside beds to charge devices ( I had mine on floor charging across room, others sat on top of spare pullout bed in family suite, another in separate bedroom but at entrance so not safe, overhead lighting poor, hair dryer in bathroom electric outlet in awkward place, bathroom specious yet no shelf to place toiletries."

"Nice views, great staff. Food is wonderful. Don't order anything extra at dinner because it costs you (small coke $8). LGTBQ flag got in the way of the nice views of the fjord."

"This hotel was in the best location to explore Flam and the Naeroyfjord. We also went to see the Hopperstad Stave Church. The breakfast was a bit disappointing and the restaurant for dinner was just okay. We only had one dinner there. The staff was incredible, however, and we enjoyed the bar and watching the World Cup soccer matches. I would definitely recommend."

"Very unique location on the side of the Flåm to Myrdal railway line, with its own station! Quiet apart from the squeal of the trains. Beautiful setting and views. Hotel is well maintained with friendly staff"

"Undeniably a gorgeous location! Communication was a problem but only at 1st. The Expedia message did not work. You have to use WhatsApp to contact them about the door code. Parking is scary if other cars are there. It's a tight squeeze to go anywhere in Undredal though. It's a one-way road, in and out. I will never forget that view though! It was definitely worth the sketchy drive!"
