Marco and his mother were excellent, caring hosts. Our room was cozy and quiet. The way breakfast was arranged with a neighbouring cafe worked well. However, we would have enjoyed more food options, perhaps fruit, yogurt, and granola.

Billig overnatning i forhold til beliggenhed.

Man kan ikke forvente et super sted til prisen, men beliggenhed mm. var et perfekt udgangspunkt, samt massevis af gode restauranter i gåafstand.

Excellent place to stay

Very pleasant stay. Love the breakfast at the Pegasus Caffè. Marco was very friendly and gave us all the info needed to enjoy our stay.

Gem of a B&B in Florence

Wonderful and quiet place to stay. Very welcoming. Breakfast served in a nearby cafe--superb baked goods of various sorts. Would definitely stay her again.

Recomendo o hotel

Quarto aconchegante e limpo. O Marco esteve em contato conosco e orientou até mesmo sobre o transporte para chegar ao hotel e os melhores locais para visitar na cidade. Foi ótimo!

If you would like a more local neighborhood experience in Florence - Marco and his B&B are a great fit. It is very easy to take public transportation and there is a grocery store about two blocks away. You can become part of the neighborhood visiting the bakeries (pizzerias) and watching them help customers select and weigh the daily bread in an enthusiastic and beautiful way. The breakfast spot Pegaso is very lively and depending on the length of your stay you can work your way thru all of the choices of pasteries. Marco will guide you to maximize your time and answer any questions you may have. The room was simple and had what I needed including a mini kitchen where I made myself dinner one night!

Great place to stay

Great place to stay when visiting Florence. It was easy to get around and there were shops and restaurants nearby. The owner, Marco was extremely helpful and the bedroom was safe, clean and comfortable. We also had the use of a kitchen area with plenty of crockery,pans and utensils. Very good value in this expensive city

Agréable séjour

Hôtel bien placé quartier plus calme que le centre. Plusieurs restaurants autour. Marco est un hôte très sympathique toujours à l’écoute et qui parle français. La chambre est bien équipée bouilloire micro-ondes réfrigérateur.

La habitación es muy amplia, la zona es muy tranquila y caminando se puede llegar a todos lados. El personal fue muy atento. Exacto como en las fotos. 100% recomendado

O quarto é grande, tem uma cozinha entre os quartos que pode ser usada em comum, mas precisa de uma melhor limpeza, fomo muito bem atendidos pelo anfitrião e nos ajudou com as informações necessárias. Café da manha é um voucher de uma bebida e dois croissant na padaria na frente da hospedagem.

Florence stay

We had a great stay in Florence in large part because of Marco at BB Porta. When we arrived at BB Porta he pulled out a map and showed us places that we should see, gave us recommendations for some of his favorite restaurants and marked them on the map which made them easy to find. He was available and helpful throughout our entire time in Florence. The location of BB Porta was also great. It was a little bit off the beaten path, which was great, but within walking distance of all the major sites of Florence. We loved our stay here and still talk about how great Marco was. We would highly recommend a stay here.

In a great location, easy access to all the main attractions. Very friendly and helpful host. The property is tired and in need of refurbishment. The fridge in our room leaked and the light constantly flickered. The rooms are only serviced every other day and there is only a small bin in the bathroom which needs emptying daily.

Good location

Place is located right outside of the old city of Florence so very convenient walking distance from lots of places. Marco was very nice and helpful. Place needs a touch up, walls were a bit dirty and is a bit outdated but however I think is the priced the correct way. For some reason the picture I was provided for the apartment on hotels.com was not of the room I booked so that was a bit of a surprise for me.

Der Host Marco ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Durch und durch Gastgeber. Sehr sympathisch. Die Lage ist ideal für fussläufige Erkundung der Stadt. Einzig unser Zimmer entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Nach den Bildern bei der Buchung und den Rezessionen hatten wir viel mehr erwartet. Leider war unser Zimmer Nr. 1 im EG mit sehr alten Möbeln ausgestattet und leider war ein vorhandener Kühlschrank mit Schimmel voll. Lieber Marco, das sollte dringend getauscht werden. Das Zimmer war daher für die Größe und Ausstattung, trotz der Lage in unseren Augen überteuert. Wenn die Möbel und vor Allem der Kühlschrank erneuert ist, ist dies definitiv für einen Kurztrip zu empfehlen. Auch 2 gesicherte Parkplätze in einer Tiefgarage in der Nähe sind zubuchbar und sehr praktisch.
