Le logement est très bien situé et propre. En revanche, l'électroménager de la cuisine mériterait d'être rénové. L'espace salle de bain/WC est très exigu. L'environnement est bruyant.

I thought I read the reviews thoroughly, but I definitely missed some things. First, reception in Florence is horrible, not the host’s fault, but this did cause some issues while checking in as I had to communicate via Expedia. The host met us fairly quickly once I was able to get my message through. I really liked having two rooms. The bathroom is super narrow and we had to purchase additional toilet paper as there was not enough for our five night stay. There were also no extra towels, just a bath towel and a hand towel for each one. The WiFi stopped working all together the first night and the host did not fix it. We finally got it to turn on again, but the only place we got some service was in the small kitchen. The WiFi did not reach into the bedrooms or living room and it didn’t always work. Very frustrating and inconvenient. The noise was awful. This place is located in between shops and it is super busy and loud. The workers set up around 6 am and you hear everything. You can’t get much sleep or rest. There is also no ac but there were a couple of fans which we had to move around as we were getting ready. So we moved it to the bathroom when we showered and to the kitchen and living room as needed as it was extremely hot. We tried having the windows open but there were so many mosquitoes that we had to close them. The location is very close to major places, including shopping and restaurants. It is about a 15 minute walk to the train station.

With a little work this could be a charming apartment. Unfortunately, that little work wasn't done. On the plus side 1) great location 2) plenty of space 3) serviceable kitchen 4) good security 5) pleasant decor On the minus side 1) we never received the code to pick up the key from a local coffee shop despite repeated emails and repeated texts. This led to a 30-minute session at the coffee shop while the barista made phone calls on our behalf to the owner. The contact number we were given was different from the one she used to eventually obtain consent to give us the key without a code. 2) we arrived after dark and there was no light in the steep stairway as we carried up our bags. 3) the programmable thermostat was erratic at best, as to times and locations that were heated. Text requesting operating instructions wasn't answered. 4) hot water was erratic. There were random icy streams in the shower; at one point the kitchen sink didn't get hot water after 2 minutes. 5) bathroom sink was SLOW to drain 6) the assemble-it-yourself toilet. The seat was loose and tightening it didn't last, while the lid was off its hinge entirely. 7) a tab holding a shelf in the fridge door was broken, so the shelf fell out and couldn't be used. 8) multiple lights don't come on 9) street noise, including merchants rolling big metal racks along the cobbles, garbage trucks working, etc. This might not bother some.
