The hosts Luca and Mario are extremely accommodating and lovely people! Rooms done to a high standard and bed really comfortable. Location is beautiful, just a short walk to bus and train station straight into Florence. Enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again

Perfect oasis in Florence

Very cosy boutique hotel, 10 minutes (23€ by taxi) from the city center. Lovely garden with a perfect pool and sunbeds. Our hosts were helpful with a quick lunch when we arrived and had a list of recommended restaurants in the center. In all very sweet and made our stay in Florence perfect.

It was a short stay, but we felt very welcomed. The hosts genuinely wanted to insure we had everything we needed and also provided ideas of things to do. We would definitely stay there again if visiting the area. Also, it’s a perfect location Thor anyone not wanting to drive into the city. We left our car and took the bus. It was quite convenient.

Luca and Mario our hosts are attentive caring hosts who offer fabulous be spoke service to their guests. The hotel is a beautiful unique and calm place to rest after a busy day seeing the sights. We enjoyed long days in the city centre and quiet evenings at the hotel as it was a little too far for us to travel back in for supper. We were not disappointed as Luca offered to make us supper which was delicious and made us feel very special. Very reasonable price as well. I highly recommend a stay at the Duchess.

Great little getaway

The stay at Duchess Botique hotel was great the bedroom and linen was clean and tidy. The bathroom was also very tidy however maybe a few maintenance issues need to be addressed. Nothing major just small things like a wobbly toilet seat that would slip off the side of the bowl. Otherwise everything was great. Breakfast as delicious and had a good range of choices. The location was a 5-15 minute walk to either a bus or a train station, however it was an easy walk if you don’t mind this. The decor and garden surrounding the hotel is stunning and peaceful.

The Duchess is a beautiful bespoke small boutique hotel where we felt like honoured house guests. Luca and Mario went out of their way to make our stay special. Fresh, delicious organic, simple breakfasts, fabulous teas and coffee and super friendly, hospitable service. Luca also tempted us with delicious small plates of food when we were at the pool at lunch / aperitivo time. His cooking is awesome! Restaurant recommendations and booking were superb. We loved Nonna Carla’s out of town Trattoria Donnini. In town and close to the Ponte Vecchio, Il Borro was delicious and their own vineyard wine superb. The Duchess is a hidden gem and although approx 3 miles from the centre of Florence, the no 20 bus was cheap (euro 1.50) and easy to navigate both ways. The main Camparetti bus stop is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The grounds are a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Florence and the salt water pool provided a very welcome dip at the end of a sightseeing day. Will we be back, 100%. Luca and Mario, thank you for a perfectly delightful stay. x

Fantastic B&B boutique, luca & Mario were fantastic, more suited to couples looking to get away from it all, luca does everything with panache and flair, bus ride to city centre €,, 1.50 taxi €26 looking forward to our return.

Amazing Place for staying in Florence

Very cozy and nice place , owner and receptionist we very kind and take good care of every detail . It is not a hotel . It is a boutique . House is empty some times ... agree arrival time first , if you arrive at different time , it can possibly be no one at place . Personalist style hotel .

In a nice residential area of Florence.

A comfortable experience for a woman travelling alone. Was made to feel very welcome. Lovely peaceful garden for those more relaxing moments after a busy tourist experience in the city.
