The hotel offers a calm and pleasant environment. Although it is located slightly away from the city centre, it benefits from close proximity to the bus station, providing convenient access to transportation. It is a wonderful property, beautiful location of Florence. Hotel is in great condition, location is only fifteen minutes away from all the center attractions. We were so pleased with the staff members and especially Angela. She was extraordinary help to us, very professional and extremely kind person. If we go back to Florence, we are hundred percent sure that we will stay there again. Highly recommended place to stay.

Stayed at Villa Carlotta for 4 night in September and it was great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is in beautiful and in a safe area a 10 minute walk to Boboli Gardens and the old city. Parking available on site.

This was a very relaxing place to be for the first few days of my trip. It’s the perfect mix of Tuscan country and faster pace of downtown Florence. It was quiet at night except the calm buzz of cicadas outside. Absolutely picturesque views and easy to walk around. Loved access to a pool on super hot days. I’d absolutely come back to this hotel

The staff were really helpful and friendly, it has its own free parking which is a great benefit and is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood within walking distance of many sights and restaurants. However the part of the property we stayed in is a bit run-down and could use some updating. It worked for us (a family of 3) for the one night and I think would have worked for my spouse and I when we were fresh out of college.

Nice Hotel

We stayed 3 nights here as part of a long trip. This is a lovely hotel in a quiet part of the city but within easy walking distance to Boboli Gardens, Pitti Palace etc. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The small carpark is a bit tight but definitely a plus as we were on a driving tour, although there is on street parking right outside which costs €2 per hour (free on Sundays) Our room was comfortable and had a small terrace which was a nice space to sit and relax Breakfast was nice, fairly simple, everything was fresh and the breakfast room overlooking the pool was nice too. We didn't use the pool but it was a good addition to the facilities and was really clean and well maintained.

The pictures of the interior of the hotel convey stateliness, but this is not a 4-star boutique hotel. It is an ageing property. Not shabby, but just old. The rooms have old paint and old fixtures and furnishings. (The room and the room safe were accessible with old-style keys rather than digital.) There was not enough horizontal space in the bathroom; I had to leave my shaving kit on the floor. We had to be re-located from our triple room when a terribly foul odour started coming from the air vent. The re-location was handled quickly, but we wondered why that had happened, and whether other guests had experienced it. The pool area provided a very welcome respite from the summer heat, but there was one day when the staff did not clean it. (We had the impression that the hotel was short-staffed.) The staff members we dealt with were all friendly, attentive, and hard-working. The concierge helped us with taxis and dinner reservations. The quality of the breakfast was average at best. The hotel is located a short walk from Porta Romana where we found a few good restaurants, cafes, and a nice gelateria. It was easy to figure out the bus routes into the centre of town. (Note to parents: fit adults may be able to walk all the way to the river and into the centre, but it's too far for young kids to walk.) Overall, our stay was pleasant. After a day among the crowds it was nice to retire to a quiet neighbourhood.

It is located in historic neighbourhood se rounded by a lot of mature trees, that protects you from the severe temperatures in the month of July. The buildings are unique and very European. The hotel has a smaller pool that is a welcome thing during the extreme heat. The staff makes your stay very pleasant, always ready to help or assist with any questions. Both Letecya and Angela are very professional , kind and speak good English. The only downfall was that the hotel only has the one iron and the iron board. I find it very strange as the people like us flying from overseas and has their clothes all wrinkled, the staff had to search around to find the only one iron in someone room, gave it to us and had to take it back soon. For someone it means nothing to tour the city looking careless, for us it was not expectable

The location is fantastic, easy to walk in and out of the city center. Staff are friendly and responsive. Parking is VERY limited but street parking (paid) seemed plentiful and at the time of my stay was $24 Euro per day (free Sundays). I stayed in the annex of the property not the actual villa and there seems to be a noise issue as I found the walls/doors very thin (and could hear all my neighbors, anyone in the hall, etc) and had responded to the initial question the website sends out when I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night. The MOD had messaged me thru hotels.com about moving rooms, but I never received the message. By the time she saw me, the other room was not still available but I did appreciate the proactive handling the situation even if the app didn't relay the message (never received it, even at a later time).
