One of our favorite stays during our trip to Italy. Absolutely fabulous all around. The location is perfect with beautiful views of the river and wonderful sunsets. The breakfast is another standout. The best we had on our trip! And to top it off, they have a truly wonderful staff. Very helpful and accommodating. We loved it and highly recommend to anyone looking for a special hotel while visiting Florence.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very attentive throughout our stay. My wife and I stayed for 10 days and have just returned. If it were possible to give Palazzo Alfieri a “six” Star Rating, we would have no hesitation to do so. The staff at every level were competent, friendly and helpful. We would single out Claudio in the Alfieri Bar and Cafe as well as Ben. They went out of their way numerous times to make sure we were looked after well and they served an impeccable breakfast every morning (or Bar in the afternoon). On the front desk, Fabo, Michael and Eduina were extremely helpful for us on many occasions whether we needed help with directions, a fine restaurant reservation, laundry etc. They were wonderful!

The hotel is centrally located and has an elegant, welcoming lobby. Our room was well maintained, although expensive. In fact, this was the highest price we paid for any hotel during our European vacation, yet it was not the nicest hotel we stayed in. We also paid extra for the included breakfast, which was generally good. However, although there was an omelette station, we had to ask the server if we could have an omelette, and we were made to feel that we were inconveniencing them. Overall, while the hotel has a good location, at this price point we would likely choose a different hotel.

Our first visit to Florence and we were wowed by the property, location and service. The Breakfast spread was so beautiful every morning. The staff was wonderful and accomodating. The a/c could have been colder since we happened to visit during the European heatwave in June. Next time we will come in March or April.
