Loved the island. Walked to area beaches, explored Chora and churches. Loved the quiet and wide open spaces.

THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE NAMED: SEWAGE SANDS Our two days at the Blue Sands Hotel were a total mess. The room smelled awful, and the staff treated us terribly. Do not stay here until they learn how to run a hotel and treat people with respect. Day One: The Awful Smell and The Rude Manager Our trip started ...

Spent a fabulous 9 nights here. Rest and relaxation, gorgeous beaches and great restaurants nearby or in the chora, a 2 euro bus ride away. The hotel is clean, lovely pool, gorgeous attentive staff. Thoroughly recommended

The stay was lovely - the room was beautiful and had a lovely courtyard. It’s a stone’s throw away from the town, so easy to get to by foot, maybe 10 minutes. Very easy to get to the bus stop as well, to get to the beaches etc. Lucia at the hotel was amazing - she was very communicative on whatsapp ...

Loved the island. Walked to area beaches, explored Chora and churches. Loved the quiet and wide open spaces.
My kids told me to rate this island a “1,” so no one else will go and it will remain a secret. But I can’t lie; this is the most magical, relaxing, homey place I have ever visited. We felt immediate peace as we arrived, which lasted the whole time.
Transportation around the island is something to address if you visit, however there are multiple reasonably priced options for rentals etc. Chora, the main village, is pedestrian only, however to explore the whole island a vehicle is key.
