Stay at Peermont Metcot in Francistown, Botswana
The stay was fantastic. The problem was checking in. I had no room despite having paid for the room and received confirmation number. Had to stay in twin beds since there was no more rooms left.

We had a lovely stay here. We arrived very early and they looked after our bags while we went out for brunch and then let us check in 2 hours early when we were back. The staff were all really nice and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, the rooms look like they have been renovated recently, the aircon worked well and the safe was secure and easy to use. Its also in an excellent part of town, right in the middle of a couple of malls and plenty of places to eat. Couldn't ask for more.

It was an awesome experience. Cherry on the cake was the beautiful salad l had at the restaurant around midnight. Its a great initiative that the restaurant closes late. Very thoughtful for late check ins.

Comfortable but a few improvements required
We booked this last minute as our original hotel was overbooked, and it was a good choice. The room was nice with a very comfy bed and a good shower. There were a few niggles such as the plug socket which was hanging half off the wall. There were also lots of flies and some mosquitos in the room when we arrived and we couldn’t figure out where they were coming from. The room got very hot but does have air conditioning. Breakfast was included and it was ok with a selection of hot and cold food, although we weren’t offered any drinks until we were leaving which was a bit strange. There are some improvements needed but it was good value and comfortable overall.

Very Poor; Loud Music until 02h00
I booked this hotel for my wife because she arrives late from the Johannesburg flight and doesn't want to drive the 25km through to Tonota in the dark. She's stayed here before but this overnight stay was particularly unpleasant. The flight was delayed and arrived very late in the evening and she was looking forward to a good nights sleep. She told me that loud music was being played from the boots of cars in the hotel parking area until about 02h00 in the morning and even though she complained, the hotel staff did very little. It appears that the hotel management have little control over this (there is a casino next door) and she said that it was more akin to staying in a shebeen than a well run hotel. Needless to say, this is the last time I will be booking this hotel for her

the rooms are very standard but adequate. the person working at reception, Kube, is very good and knowledgable and has been a great help. the process at reception was quick and efficient. the alarms at the doors of the rooms are a bit annoying.

Comfortable near town centre
On the whole a good hotel close to town centre at a reasonable price. The only real disappointment was a lingering odour from the drains.

Was okay as a stopover. WiFi promised was sadly lacking and very dissapointing. Ours was a one night stopover and given the price paid, not too bad but compared to other similar priced experiences we had, fairly average

It was great though I expect 2 sets of towels as I had booked a double room. It was also a challenge to connect to the wifi.

We were pretty tired after a long drive from Pretoria, so were pretty happy to fall into a comfortable bed in a clean room.

Our 1 night stay was very nice, but we were told by other Peace Corps Volunteers that if we showed our Peace Corps ID card, that we would get a discount. We showed it, but did NOT get a discounted rate. Since the discount was the reason we reserved there, it was very disappointing. we would probably not choose this hotel again.

Good economy hotel for the budget constrained
Stayed one night at the hotel. Rooms were recently renovated and quite nice. Hotel does not have an elevator and the halls are quite compact.

Not a bad place
The Peermont advertised a queen bed but when I got there our choice was two twin beds side by side or a double bed. We took the double bed. There also was no secure parking area so I had to unload my car completely. The staff was helpful in unloading but we were on the third floor and so we had to carry everything up to our room.

Good value for money
Was a great hotel to stay at for a night stop over. The hotel staff were friendly and it was all we needed after a long days travel! :) very happy

Be cautious on security
I noticed that the door of my room, and several others in my corridor, had a 1 cm wide hole drilled through the door beside the lock. I don't know if that serves some legitimate purpose, but it also seemed to make it easy for someone from the outside to force up the handle on the inside, bypass the lock, and enter the room. If you find that your door is like this, I would suggest asking for another room.

Handy place for a stop over
Over all it was a nice experience and staff was helpful. Check in can be slow as there is typically one person running the front desk and phones. There was a mix up with what room we'd reserved, but it was quickly sorted out. This is one of the best options for the price in this area.
