"I only wanted a soft bed and a hot shower after camping for 3 nights in Acadia; this motel (it's NOT a hotel) offered that. Very basic small room, clean with A/C, but I loved the grounds; very pretty, and way back off Rt. 3, the main highway on Mt. Desert Island. It is NOT an "ocean view" however; on the north side of the island there is only a very pretty far-away view of "the narrows" connecting Frenchman Bay on the east and Blue Hill Bay on the west.
