숙박장소에서 조셉빙하를 보러가는 것이 기대보다 멀었던 것이 아쉬움. 인터넷 상태가 전화기와 안맞는 건지 지역적 특색인지 잘 안된 것도 아쉬웠음. 이건 내 전화기 상태가 정상적인 상황이 이니었기에 일반적인 것이 아닐수 있음. 인터버스는 숙소를 말하면 내리는 것과 타는 것 모두 바로 앞에서 해줌.

여기 정말 너무 짱 좋아요! 다음번엔 부모님 모시고 꼭 다시 오고싶어요~! 좀 늦은 저녁에 도착했는데 방이 공짜로 업그레이드되어서 큰 방에서 자게되었는데 정말 최고였어요~! 정말 숲속서 좋은 공기 마시며 마치 쥬라기공원 캠핑장에 온 기분? 정말 최고!!!! This was the best ever!

Loved the setting. It felt remote yet we were close to everything we needed. Restaurants and shops were walkable. The room was clean and comfortable. Our shower was open to our bathroom and left the whole floor wet when we used it. It seemed to be an accessible shower. Was not ideal for us. Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

Very good Hostel. Stayed in a 4 person downstairs room. My only complaints are that the floors are a bit thin and people stomping around above me were noisy and secondly they close the hot tub at 8 pm, which seems a bit early. Otherwise this place is amazing. Great grounds and location

Be prepared for some adventure
There are no proper signages to find cottages as they are hidden behind trees which is what the appeal is but at the same time it is difficult to find them for someone who is visiting first time especially if reach after dark or on a rainy day which is what happened with us. Took us more than 30 minutes to find the cottage. We were in a single room cottage that has very small bathroom with a sink which is probably smaller than an aircraft sink. No service is available so one has to be prepared for doing everything on their own.

I loved that the resort catered for all travellers regardless of whether they were a backpacker or someone that was looking for a deluxe accommodation to those who just needed a place to park their camper van. I found that it became it's own little community and everyone was very friendly and respectful of each other. There are a number of dining options close by and a supermarket that was 200m away. It was very clean and convenient to both glaciers. The staff were excellent. I seriously have nothing that I could fault. Very good value for money!!!

Loved our stay at Rainforest Retreat!
We had a beautiful suite which made our stay wonderful despite rainy weather. Private spa tub was a real bonus!!

Just fabulous a secluded spot in the rainforest we just kept the curtains opened and put on the porch light to watch the forest till we fell asleep. The room was perfect the bathroom with the heated floor was amazing. shower was great . Amenities perfect and everything was in walking distance. Would definitely go back!

Horrible experience
This place was terrible. The hot tub was cracked and the jets hardly worked. Our toilet ran non-stop. We brought it to the staffs attention and we were told mnx would stop by. If it couldn’t be fixed they would move us. We returned and the front desk was closed for the night. The showers soaked the entire bathroom and there is no ventilation so the place stayed wet. The WiFi was intermittent. I would not recommend this place.

We loved our stay and the property was amazing. Sadly we weren’t able to have dinner after 7.30pm or have breakfast in the restaurant as there was a function on which was extremely loud and went on for hours to not the evening. We would have appreciated being told about these restrictions when booking or at least prior to our arrival.

Property was clean and safe. However there were no proper signs to find our cottage. Reception did not have patience to give proper directions. There was no hair dryer in the room. There was no heating in the room and we felt cold at night.

The property is conveniently located relatively to all places you want to be in the town. Rooms and beds were of a good quality. We stayed in a room with kitchen and full bath. I liked sauna and outdoor spa provided for all property guests. My only complaint was about our room that didn't have even a single hook or closet to hang or store our stuff.

Hi Michael,Thanks for your feedback. You booked one of our budget backpacker ensuite doubles. Pictures and sqm clearly displayed on website. If you were unhappy however, we would have been more than happy to assist had you reported to reception.The 'bad' water you referred to was a temporary precautionary measure put in place for the WHOLE of Franz Josef just related to drinking the water. We provided free bottled water to deal with this unexpected notice. This has now been lifted.We do have rooms ranging from budget to 5* so perhaps call ahead next time to ensure the room meets all your requirements. Kind regardsThe Rainforest Team

A lot of care and money has obviously gone into creating the wonderful ground based and stilted high level ‘tree house’ apartments which have a fabulously easy and opulent feel. Quite the best laid out, equipped and stylish place we’ve stayed for a while. This does set a high bar of expectation that - currently - the on site bar/restaurant has a long way to go to match both at breakfast and dinner. That said, given the diverse clientele, ranging from partying adventurers, young families and oldies, all on different budgets, we guess it’s a hard brief to fill. That apart, definitely do stay here for the excellent quirky and brilliant rain-forest dwellings, but possibly be ready to eat out until the catering catches up. But we did like it. And post covid, do support local businesses like this that are obviously trying hard. 5 stars.

We had the deluxe 2br suite with hot tub. It was a marvelous property in every way, except for one. The service attitude was not up to what it could be. Housekeeping maids were delightful, but the front office was stressed and inflexible. Rushed at checkin. 10 am checkout but no later. No time for that last sunny morning hike. Our first night we were ignored for so long in the on-site Monsoons restaurant that we finally left without even being acknowledged by the tall waitress who passed our table countless times. We have never seen anything like this anywhere in the world. Everything else was wonderful, from the linens to the furnishings to the landscaping.

Quiet and comfortable. Excellent amenities in motel room in a beautiful setting with mountain and rainforest views. Only complaint was no hot water.

Perfect for a trip to see the glacier. It was shrouded in cloud the first day, but because we stayed so close, we were able to go back the following morning for a perfect (and quiet!) view.
