Overall it was a great place to stay, and very unique. The cabin was very clean, except for the dishes. A quick cleaning of what I wanted to use was necessary. However, it did irritate me knowing that there was a cleaning fee added to my room charge! The owners provide a nice touch with two complimentary bottles of wine for us humans, and dog bisquits for our four-legged friends. The cabin is within a short walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shopping (if that's your interest)
We had a lovely mother-daughter weekend!
Positives: we were able to walk to great places. Close proximity to the Pacofic War Museum and Otto’s. Fun little place! A real historic cabin which is awesome. More cultural than a hotel. Great amenities— they provided a really nice bottle of wine and continental breakfast, board games, and fans which worked great.
Negatives: even though the fans worked well and made it comfortable to sleep, it was HOT! This isn’t their fault as I’m sure a 19th century cabin doesn’t have much insulation, but thermostat said it was 79 degrees inside. No Wi-Fi (which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.) Everything was pretty dusty, but we didn’t mind. It’s a cabin after all.
Overall was a nice stay, we just wouldn’t book this place again since there are so many other great options in Fredericksburg!
Great little cabin close to Main Street. No Wi-Fi though. The small bed is very hard, could use more cushion. The front door sticks and is hard to lock/unlock, but overall this was a great stay!
I was pleasantly pleased with this rustic cabin. It was also nice to be able to bring our fur baby with us! They also had dog treats and wine to greet us!
Very peaceful and quiet, perfect retreat! We loved everything about this cabin. Bed was comfortable, cabin is secluded and quiet, accommodations were amazing.
Room was hot, wouldn't cool down below 80. Front door barely closed and locked, door handles didn't even function. Cabin was infested with ants. Dust hanging from the ceiling.
We loved this private and quiet cabin just 4 blocks from Main St. in Fredericksburg. This cabin has so much charm and is quite roomy for a couple. Cay did a great job restoring this cabin, which is dog friendly. We will definitely be back!

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
We loved the history and rustic appeal of this place. However, it does need some work. A lot of the trees and bushes need trimming. There is not a porch swing like the Web site says . The owner has two dogs, that bark at you everytime you step outside. It would of been nice to sit outside. But not to be barked at non stop. NOT relaxing!
