A widening of our street, a few years ago, helped the overall flow of traffic but - unfortunately - took away our left-hand turn. I hope you were able to enjoy our other-wise convenient location, in spite of that.

Hi, Courtney. I've noted your room number, and will have maintenance check the air conditioning unit. They're usually cold enough to turn you into an ice cube, if they're running on high, so that one must need some tweaking. Thank you for letting us know. 'Glad your stay was great just the same!

We actually were not closed at all, because of our long-term guests, so our maintenance and housekeeping staff have been kept busy with the increased cleaning and sanitizing requirements. I will definitely mention that along with making sure our toilet seats are all clean, it should also be noted if they are loose. I appreciate the feedback, because we want your stay to be amazing.

I'm very sorry that was your impression during your stay with us, Kenneth. We actually have made a number of improvements to the property since last year. I think the homeless shelter would be very glad to have accommodations with the clean, comfortable rooms we have here.

Thank you for your review, Owen. I do wish you had mentioned this to our front desk upon check-in as breakfast is usually ready by at least 6 a.m., in spite of the official start of 07:00. Our night auditor (usually me!) has been known to have it ready as early as 04:30, upon request. We're pretty flexible. I hope you'll have an opportunity to stay with us again.

I am very sorry this was handled this way. The discrepancy came to light during night audit, and it had been agreed that we would make you aware - upon check-out - of the difference. I can only assume that they thought they were expediting your check-out experience by charging it ahead of time. We will definitely coach as to what was the better course of action, here. I cannot express how sorry I am that this was your experience, and can assure you that we were all made aware of it and cautioned very strongly to assure that it doesn't happen again. I would like to stress that this was not a room that was shoddily serviced by our housekeeping staff. It was one from which the guests left unexpectedly - late in the day, after housekeeping had left. The error occurred in that it was not statussed as out of order, so the system assigned it for you. If only we'd known, right away, a new room would have been assigned immediately. We do have one dehumidifier in the guest-room hallway downstairs, and since our first floor is actually a ground floor - and not a basement - that one dehumidifier is more than equal to the task of keeping things fresh from a moisture point of view. It does not - however - remove the smell of smoke that comes in on the clothes of our smoking guests, so we have a specific appliance for that, which would have been utilized in the room, if it had been serviced. We take our no-smoking policy very seriously, and spend a goodly portion of each day asking those who smoke to move from the doorways to the designated smoking area at the end of the building, but it's not always possible to keep them from dropping a butt or two before they go. They are cleaned up several times a day, but - as you arrived in the middle of the night - the next cleanup would have been first thing in the morning. It was actually our General Manager who handled your checkout, so I'm sorry if you misunderstood that there would be someone else getting in touch with you. If you have further items you would like to address, please feel free to call us.

How fortunate we are to have guests like you who not only keep coming back, but tell others when things get even better! We're excited about our new breakfast items and glad you enjoyed them. I hope you're entering your cell # each time you check in, to register your stay for our rewards program. It's our newest way to thank our guests who return.
