"The pousada was homey and comfortable. The colored bungalows made it feel a bit like a sleepaway camp and the home cooking made it feel like staying with a family. Great place if you're not looking for anything too upscale and are happy with mellow vibes. The grounds are beautifully kept and there's a nice, small pool. It's isolated on its' own more remote part of the island, but it's a short walk out to the dock to hop on a boat and explore the other wonders of Ilha Grande. "

"For about EUR 184 per night the hotel doesn‘t fulfill a middle class hotel standard at all. 2 lamps in the room were broken, the interior is very rudimentary, TV was blurry, whitrpool engine broken, dirty and ice cold. We enjoyed our stay overall but were disturbed by noises from 4am every morning (possibly because we were placed on the floor below the restaurant/entertainment area) and also construction noises from 8am every day of our 5 night stay. We would have appreciated being informed at check in that there would be disturbances. "
