"We stayed for 17 days.
The listing states "ski in / ski out access". This is untrue. The property is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. There are portions of the walk that are unsafe if there is snow in the side of the roads, busses and traffic have to stop and go around pedestrians. The ski shuttle stop is at the resort. Uber/Taxi was 12 USD one way at the time of our stay/this review.
There is no breakfast or food whatsoever at this hotel. There is one microwave for the entire hotel. It was poorly functioning, had duct tape holding the knobs together, and had not been cleaned at all.
The staff at this hotel did the minimum. They did not communicate about local amenities, provide advice, or make the inconveniences previously mentioned any easier. They did not help with Ski passes. Cleaning staff would enter our room and start cleaning while we were still occupying the space, getting changed, ect. They did not speak Japanese or english.
We moved the bed at one point to retrive something that rolled underneath. There was so much filth on the floor it was unbelievable. 12 pairs of slippers, old food, and towels covered in dust build up. I tried to ask the front desk for a vacuum. They did not vacuum or allow me to use one.
This is the budget option in this area for good reasons. The hotel website is very misleading. Buyer beware. "
"The property is nice, the onsen is a terrific feature and the staff were excellent and helpful with our many questions for inbound/outbound travel. However, for upwards of $400 per night, the dining options were rather basic and, given the hotel's somewhat remote location, the sporadic shuttle schedule and drop-off locations made the ski resorts somewhat of a challenge to reach."
"It's a stunning hotel from the time you roll towards Hotel Green Plaza. When you get inside, again some wow factors, some very old vintage structural engineering marvels which you have got to appreciate.
Ski-in-ski-out lockers for hotel guests are good, access to cortina is right out the door.
Buffet breakfast has a good selection, dinner is also good.
Can get extremely crowded during peak times.
Rooms are nice with a blend of tatami x western style bedding - however mattresses were quite old for our rooms. You can defintely feel a difference after skiing/snowboarding all day.
Location is a bit out of the way and buses can skip the resort so you should either have your own vehicle for convenience or need to plan very well for the shuttle bus.
Overall we enjoyed or stay "
"Pros: The staff is very friendly, the location is great, and the room is clean.
Cons: The building is just too old (ie. the curtains really need to be replaced. Even though the room is clean, everything feels very dated.)
Overall: It was a nice stay, but the price is too high for how old the hotel is. If the price was cut in half, it would be a great deal. At full price, it is hard to recommend until they do some renovations."
