"Spacious, comfortable room. Staff need a few lessons in manners, attentiveness and dress code. Breakfast okay, nothing to write home about. Staff wore jeans, trainers and blouses, not quite what I would have expected. One member of staff in breakfast room rather rude. We ordered breakfast both without sourdough toast and asked for brown toast separately. Breakfast arrived served on top of brown toast, not separate as requested. I said we had asked for it separate and she went to take plate away. I said just to leave it and bring toast separately. She returned with one slice in a toast rack. I said I had requested toast for 2 on the side. She grabbed the toast rack and said if you tell me what you want I will get it. Strange I thought I already had! Had requested a room with bath in message to hotel prior to arrival. None available but not even acknowledged by Receptionist, just said none available. At checkout we weren't asked how our stay was, but did offer have a nice day as we were leaving. Such a shame, as this used to be our go to Hotel in Oban since it first opened, but that is definitely our last visit"

"Room was clean and had a view of the ocean. Overall, very noisy doors seaming, showers in other rooms all hours of the night. I was closer to the back where there seemed to be a lot of people coming and going despite there only being 4 rooms. "

"Nice and cosy and clean with excellent shared facilities of bathroom, kitchen amd lounge area and nice bar serving good food under the guest house. Perfect location."

"Room number 5 was at the back of the property near the main road. It did become quieter as the night went on. However, there was a security light that was triggered every 2 mins, whihc made sleeping difficult as just thin blinds on the windows. I messaged the owner the next morning to see if we could change rooms. Jonny the owner was there at 5pm when we returned. Very reaponsive to the situation and changed us to the other part of the hotel. Overall nice place and close to town centre. Kitchen and sitting room were an added bonus. I would recommended and hopefully the security lights will be fixed soon. "

"When 1st arrived very tired after 7 hour journey ,key lock box would not open with code,had to phone then leave message,no answer back so left message on web site eventually call back after 25 minutes had to go round to car park to get spare key out of another lock box 45 minutes to get into room Room 4 is small. Needs a better table for tea and coffee area. Bed linen is needing renewed as looking rather grey and tired.Toilet bowl and inside seat needs cleaned better. Bathroom door sticks and difficult to open . Grandson panicked as he couldnt get out. Every time other guest went in or out ,our door rattles and got a few frights when sleeping. View out window onto annex with black plastic wall and wooden struts. I would return here as value for money o.k ,but it does need a bit of care to the fabric of the building. "
