“Beautiful property with a delicious restaurant. Great water pressure. Everything was clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly.”

“The room was the best we had on our trip. It had shampoo, conditioner, soap in both the sink area and the shower. There was cold water and milk in the refrigerator and coffee/ tea. There was also a heated towel rack and great big towels. They also provided a shower cap. It was large enough that you could both move around the room. Highly recommend”

“The room was clean. The bathroom has been renovated with good shower pressure. However, the beds were quite uncomfortable. Note that there is no elevator on the premises - not a big deal for us but that may not be the case for everyone. Lastly, the breakfast is overpriced. I would probably go out if I were to return. At 15 pounds each, that converts to just under $30 can. Even in overpriced Toronto, that’s expensive.”

“We are now back at home after our trip. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the Whisky Vaults but the most positive thing was that the bed was comfortable. 1. Staying for 2 days but the room was not serviced. 2. Breakfast, in a brown bag appeared on the first day only. 3. Thanks to Connor, who took an item of luggage upstairs. There was no lift and the back stairs were a challenge to my wife who is waiting for an ankle operation. 4. I would not be in a hurry to recommend the Whisky...

“Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you .”

“The hotel is functional, a bit dated looking from the outside, better inside but the shower in our room was not fit for purpose. Decent food but the menu is very limited. Parking is virtually non existent but the street parking is free after 6pm until 9am.”

“I sat down before a party of 12 did and waitress got their orders first. Then took another tables order before me. Bed was hard. Phone to receprion did not work. Toilet had very little room to sit down without knees hitting shower glass. No hair dryer and shower handles did not work conveniently. The soap in tower container would not dispense. Side of fruit swrved before breakfast came in the appearance of a soup. The french toast was good. The bed duvet was warm.”

“Very difficult to move around the bathroom, the door hit the side of the bath when opened from the bedroom. We had reserved a dog friendly room, fortunately, we have a small dog because there was very little room for his crate. I suspect we were given a less adequate room, ( adjacent rooms I viewed had a better layout) because the hotel was catering for large groups and we were staying just one night. This was despite the fact that I booked it months ago.”

“It’s a 100 year old property so expect to walk up stairs, it’s expected and they have done some renovations. The property smells moldy, the bed is horrible, super cheap pillows-they covered the bed in a plastic sheet which made you sweat all night and couldn’t keep windows open because of traffic. The WiFi is ridiculous and the fellow tried to convince us everyone uses an Ethernet cable versus wireless-so out of touch for phones/tablets and the room and bathroom were dusty and dirty in every...

“Staff was very nice and the location/view was great. Only critique is the property is very tired looking and the lift was broken, which I can understand but it looked like it had been for some time.”

Also Rona webt above and beyond, she deserves a real pat on the back. The male manager was awesome as well always checking to make sure everything was ok. ”

“The room was spacious and well decorated. We had beautiful views over Oban and the Isles. Easy safe parking. Very convenient location to business centre and ferry terminal. Quiet and safe. Would recommend.”
