Top Dunollie Museum Hotel Reviews
The Scot
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and clean. More spacious than many places in Scotland for hotel stays. However, breakfast is very expensive for what you get and I did have a broken shower drain that caused a bit of bathroom flooding, however they said it would be fixed before the next guest used the room."
The Whisky Vaults
8/10 Good
"Not a conventional hotel. But rooms over a pub. Warmly greeted although a bit chaotic in pub at time as setting up for and event Room was up one flight of stairs. But are several floors so be mindful of stairs with luggage and mobility Had a compact double which was ideal for me as a single traveller sink is bedroom and then separate toilet and shower. Compact but fine for me. Water pressure was amazing and a pleasant surprise, only thing was the shower gel dispenser was empty, but the toiletries were lovely even had body lotion, in iroom also had tea and. Coffee which also came with hot chocolate and biscuits which is always a nice touch, Being over a pub with entertainment and only on first floor I was a bit worried about nose but it was fine though did heF people coming upstairs about 1 in morning No breakfast option here but was given a little token To go bag"

"Very convenient to walk to town, just use the small bridge from the car park. Also, it wasn’t listed on their booking info or in the photos but they do have a common kitchen with all cooking appliances and a clothes washer plus a common lounge. Just far enough out of town not to be too busy but close enough for an easy 5 min stroll to town. There is an Aldi, Tesco and Lidl about a 15 walk away . Go slow as you drive past the entrance since it’s easy to miss on the hillside road but there is a sign posted. Nice place to stay!"
No17 The Promenade
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at number 17 the Promenade! Rooms were small, but very functional-and was easy to hold our luggage from our two week long trip in Scotland. The food and the restaurant were absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive! We actually canceled our second night at another restaurant and chose to stay and eat again in the hotels restaurant. There wasn’t any air-conditioning or elevator, but a good fan in the room kept us cool and the stairs were manageable. I would definitely recommend!"
The Royal Hotel
8/10 Good
"It is needing upgraded as creaky floors n some of the carpets need replacing also found the double bed a bit small"
Corriemar Guest House
8/10 Good
"Great place you don’t get to see the owners. The shower needs looking at as the usual hotel leaking to the head of shower minor issue to sort. I would recommend replacing the TVs in the rooms another small issue but modern TVs in hotel rooms is a game changer and very important. Parking for 5 cars safely anymore it needs to be shared parking with friends. I over heard an American telling their friend to park right up to my bumper I am glad they ignored this… as would not be impressed with such parking, parking is great for 4 cars main car park and 1 car on the side regardless of space markings. The current markings do risks drivers scraping your car! So 4 cars in main car park and 1 at the side. I had a top view of drivers trying to park on the road. Great hotel just improve TVs and fix leaking showers. I recommend this hotel and I am sure the TVs will be replaced and showers checked! WiFi was very slow maybe upgrade to BT Open Reach fibre! When new TVs are purchased!"
Oban Bay Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely location Great sitting area with a fabulous view of the water"
Dalrigh House
10/10 Excellent
"Great location, very clean, well maintained."
Dunarle Guesthouse
8/10 Good
"As last year, when I stayed at the Dunarle, the room was clean, the house cleaners were pleasant and efficient, and the bathroom was very clean, even though it was a shared bathroom. But some issues: there was a small desk in my room, but no chair that "fit" it. When I made this reservation, I was promised a free continental breakfast. When I arrive, they no longer offer the breakfast I was promised, but offered no explanation or compensation. Disappointing. Finally, given I was on the first floor front, I was surprised at how loud the street noises were."
