From the first contact, to the last, Amazing. I've travelled far and wide and this is one of the best places I've stayed. Advert doesn't do them justice. If you are coming to George area, you simply must stay here. You won't find a better or more welcoming establishment. Clean, tidy, well run, amazing food, great value, highly appointed room.. I cannot fault them. A special mention to Patrick, who was amazing from the first turn of the door handle.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a beautiful art deco building with peacocks roaming the grounds. The onsite restaurant offers tasty food and the rooms are very comfortable and modern. Very peaceful as the hotel sits at the edge of the forest. I will definitely stay here again when i am next in George.

I have been looking for a great place to stay each time I go to George over the past few years each time trying a new place out. I have now stopped looking. Wow ! This place is “GREAT” well done.

Lovely hotel, great service,let down by restaurant

Beautiful property and greasy staff. They decided to close the restaurant both nights of our stay after we made bookings beforehand for it and without prior notice. The one night we were able to make a plan but the second we were left totally stranded. I reached out to the hotel first to complain via email and no one even acknowledged it.

Most wonderful surprise, gorgeous place!!

We only spent one night, next time definitely more! A beautifully restored, historic hotel, newly reopened after extensive, complete restoration with enormous attention to detail, including some lovely old wooden doors, stairs etc.A wonderful bar and lounge area with a fireplace (also fireplace in restaurant), fantastic service all round, lovely soft jazz music all over public areas, creating a relaxed and classy atmosphere. The food in the very stylish restaurant was delicious, dinner and breakfast were excellent! Lovely gardens with large pool and loungers to relax and watch the resident families of peacocks. One can only feel very welcome, comfortable and relaxed here, starting with being met by the very friendly porter and staff, and some bubbly! The location is convenient to get to, without having to drive through George. We really hope to come back for a longer stay, can definitely highly recommend!
