“nice location, great room, amazing breakfast. very happy here”

“We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back.”

“Clean and kind”

“It is a beautiful property at the center of the city. The garders are spectacular and the breakfast spread is absolutely delicious. I stay here each time I visit Aviles. My only complaint is that rooms need upgrades-- the beds/mattresses are a little stiff and they still use double twin beds pushed together to make a full/queen sized bed. Some of the wallpaper in my room was bubbling, not a big deal, but it is notable for a 5 star hotel. ”

“Beautiful location. Clean comfortable room with private bathroom. Minimal breakfast. Exceptionally generous and helpful host. One cautionary: you really need a car to stay here. The village of Ribadesella is quite a distance and taxi service up the mountain is very unreliable.”
