We did not know that the least expensive hotel in our trip to Spain would be our favorite. Our room was a suite, and the entire hotel has been updated to modern standards. Each staff member we met was so kind and helpful. The location is also fantastic. I could not recommend the Hernan Cortes Hotel more highly.

This hotel is the best in Gijón. Although an old property it is very well maintained with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms have AC which is a plus in Europe and difficult to find operationally. We often go to Gijón and after many failed attempts, we found this centric beautiful place! Great job.

Safe, clean, convenient central location. I requested a quiet room which they gave me, and it was a nice peaceful night's sleep. You can hear guests through the door and heavy door slams but luckily none of that happened at night. Really nice helpful staff. I'll stay here again.

This is our favorite hotel went visiting Gijón. The rooms are spacious, they have AC split units, big bathroom and it always clean. Many options to eat around and a taxi station and parking around the corner. Great place

Very easy access if you are driving in. The parking garage is a block away. Once you park you will do lots of walking but that is part of the experience in Europe. Great location to so many places right at he center between the two main beaches.
