“We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed).”

“The place was modern, clean, well maintained with pleasant staff. The down side was the food, the kitchen had strange ideas on a poached egg.The yolk on the eggs in the Eggs Royal l ordered were hard boiled, separate from the white and spherical as if it had been cooked in a melon baller. The holandaise sauce was watery with no taste. That evening in the bar a group of people came in and sat around the bar.
