“Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. Overall an excellent stay room was comfy, cosy and clean - thank you 🙏”

“Very relaxing place to stay Staff were particularly friendly and helpful Huge bed in our room but definitely needs a mattress topper (room 27) Room needs decorating and updating but think they have started on rooms But still a nice place for our overnight stay”

“Good bed and breakfast. Very noisy motor bike went on the road at high speed around 6.00 in the morning. It is not Half Moon's fault, but was rather annoying.”

“This is the fourth time we have visited the Hotel, Staff are very friendly room as nice, the only thing that lets the hotel down is the breakfast buffet no choice of eggs, mass Produced cooking items much Preferred the menu where you Ordered breakfast ”

“Had an excellent stay. Everything needed was there, I asked for use of an iron and ironing board as they weren't in room and had them within minutes, had an amazing night's sleep. Thanks ”

“Good location and parking”

“Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals.”

“The hotel is an old Georgian building and therefore reflected in the rooms and amenities. Lots of character and charm. However, this means no aircon and old fashioned door locks etc. They provide a fan but our room was still too warm. We stayed in April so the summer months could be tricky. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was well stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and lovely fluffy towels. Lots of tea and coffee. Coffee was high quality bags and not the nasty...
