“this was a stop off for the start of our holiday, we were meant to be going to Salisbury races, but it was abandoned due to heavy rain, never the less it did not stop us enjoying our stay at this beautiful hotel, we had an amazing stay and it was very clean and all the staff were extremely polite and pleasant.”

“I stayed here for work in the area. Accomodation is clean and staff were friendly. Has a good selection of food and drink. I had the best fish and chips here ive had in quite a while but the menu is large enough t cover pub grub or a good steak or curry. I liked it here and would stat again no issue. ”

“Excellent stay for our trip to The New Forest. The room was cosy, had everything that was needed from table n chairs, two comfy chairs, very comfy bed and pillows. Iron and board, towels, wash flannel, all wash/cleaning equipment, mini cooker, toaster, pint milk in fridge. Everything was perfect. I would say though that coyld have done with a better iron as it didn't seem to iron properly. Apart from that the stay was excellent. Would definately recommend. ”

“Highly recommend. We were late arriving, due to the Cannel Island ferry breaking down in Guernsey harbour, but we were still able to have an evening meal, which was very nice in itself, and very welcome. The staff were very pleasant, and the room very comfortable. Tim served the breakfast, and is the perfect host. It is a most picturesque location, and we will most definitely stay here again. ”

I did not require super attentive service or astonishing presentation of food, or attention to detail and so if these were missing it did not affect my stay. “A pleasant stay in an attractive country pub The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The bed comfortable. The food was good especially the breakfast.
