Such a beautiful hotel out in the countryside. The dinner was fantastic, the hot tub was one of the best I have been in. Very quiet, very quaint. Would recommend to everyone looking to stay out of the main villages!

Great stay

We had an excellent experience, very, very friendly and accommodating hosts, started at check-in, welcoming us, feeling at home immediately. Asking for our interests and showing us what we could do in the time, we had available, also offering their F&B services, hot tubs, pool. Cottage had it all, nice kitchen, good bathroom, good bedding, most importantly very clean. Cottage, easy to access with our 4*4, parking right in front of it. One key component, great internet, yeah, yeah, I've heard it...

Love hotel halfway between the airport and downtown. The room itself was super comfy (with a lovely bathtub!) and the concierge was very helpful. The breakfast was your typical nice hotel breakfast (eggs, bacon, cold cuts, etc), plus a sampling of exotic meats (e.g. smoked whale). It’s about a half hour walk to downtown if you take the shopping street (just down the road and up to the nearest light and to the right), or maybe 40 min if you take the shore and sculpture walk (which has gorgeous...

Clean, cozy, beautiful, well located hotel! Above all, the hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They helped us immediately when we had issues finding the bus back to the airport, and solved our problem and our stress of missing our flight. For us that was service above expectations and we are so greatful. I will always recommend staying here!! Thank you!

My husband and I really enjoyed this! It is a little chilly but they have heaters/ fire place and heated blankets. The host was very easy to get a hold of (go to thier website for number). Also, double check correct address, we took address from Expedia and put it in our Apple Maps and it took us to the wrong location for the first time (look up to golden circle glamping domes, NOT the lake one). Also, I would definitely bring some sort of dinner if you have not already ate because there's not...

Located very close to night life and restaurants but still in a quiet area. Close to several pickup locations for shuttle buses and tour pick up locations.

Staff was extremely helpful with ideas for things to do during a blizzard. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was cozy and warm. Great location.

The property was beautiful. Updated, and the staff is very friendly. There was no parking, so that got a little pricey if you wanted to park close to the hotel, but I think that’s the norm in Reykjavík. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland.

Everything was perfection!! The hotel. The restaurant. Service. Room. I couldn't have been happier. This is my 6th time staying there and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Reykjavik.

we landed very early and the staff was very nice and let us check in several hours before typical check in time. The room was large and had great blackout curtains. very walkable area.

Alfred’s apartments was the perfect place to stay during my trip to Reykjavík! I had some questions prior to my departure which I emailed them about and got reply’s back within hours!! It is located in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavík, and a 5-7 minute walk to the bus stop which brings you anywhere in Iceland (also where tours pick you up). The night before leaving to go back home to New Hampshire, I emailed asking if we could check out at noon instead of 11 AM, they answered very...

Love that our room backed up to a cliff where we could watch the nesting birds and see the flowers in bloom.
