As interstate visitors to Ballarat, we had booked what was described on your website as a "luxury apartment" - what we instead arrived at was a "very basic apartment". From the second we pulled up outside the tired, run-down, block of flats, we felt incredibly disappointed. Unfortunately this feeling did not abate once inside the apartment: firstly, there was no reception area and hence no one to greet us upon our arrival; secondly, the apartment was furnished with very cheap items throughout and did not rate as "luxurious" in any way; thirdly, the entrance carpet was stained and the timber blinds were filthy; fourth, "luxury apartments" always offer top quality tea and coffee - not Liptons tea-bags and paper vials of coffee; fifth, there was no form of heating or electric blankets in the bedrooms; and last by by no means least, the shower was the worst we have ever encountered - a trickle of water that one was obliged to stand under for a long period of time in order to become clean (hence not the water-saving device that the cheapskate owners intended). The advertising for this apartment is misrepresenational and this experience definitely put a dampener on our short break in Ballarat.
