"Excellent 99 year old historic hotel with a friendly staff. We had an amazing dinner at the hotel’s Peacock restaurant & returned for a perfectly prepared breakfast. The room was spacious with 2 televisions, desk, table with 2 chairs, leather couch in the sunroom & a very comfortable bed. Definitely 5 stars."

"Parking was a little difficult, out front you could be ticketed or towed. They recommend you to park around the back in a dirt lot (this is the parking lot) didn't feel like a very secure location even with cameras. Room was clean, Wi-Fi was very slow so streaming shows wasn't perfect. Very rustic if that is what you are looking for. AC was only blowing room temp 1st night but was working 2nd night so I opened window but I had to be careful, looked like original wood....very rustic :) Staff were wonderful!"

"This is in my top 5 favorite hotels, anywhere! We had a great stay. Such a nice, historic hotel, well kept, clean, a great restaurant downstairs and right in the middle of everything. From there, you can walk to virtually every happening spot downtown. I loved the lounge, where a brilliant piano player kept the vibe high while we enjoyed the ambience. The best thing of all may have been the bed. It was SOOOO comfortable, the pillows as well. I haven't slept that well in a long time. I was worried about the noise, being downtown on a Saturday night, but after about 10pm, it got pretty quiet. My wife is super picky and not so into historical, but she said this was one of her best hotel experiences as well. We will be back!"

"This was one of the most convenient, worry free, hassle free stays I have ever had. I was arriving late, after the office closed, and they messaged me with my room information so I could arrive anytime and settle in. It sounds like a small detail, but when I arrived late at night to find the lights were left on for me, I felt like I was coming home after a long day of travelling. I had been driving through the dark for hours and that was a nice touch. I felt very safe at this property as someone travelling solo. It shows that they put care into maintaining the rooms and the shared spaces on this property. I was sad to have such a short stay, and would love to come back for a longer stay soon!"
