The staff are the most friendly people, and you can see all sorts of incredible wild life right from the restaurant and patio. We saw hawks, pelicans, turtles, a crocodile! We missed dolphins one morning apparently but yeah, it was absolute paradise and the staff were the best part.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food in the open-air restaurant is great. You walk out of your room into the beautiful open-air restaurant where you can have a very cold beer and watch the boats dock.

Half of the building is over the bay, so walking up to the rail you're guaranteed to see unique birds and small fish...possibly a crocodile or a stingray. The layout is unique in that the guest rooms open right into the dining and bar area. I quickly got used to it and found it convenient. The bar shuts down at 10pm, so unwelcome noise also stops at 10pm. The food is good and the staff is friendly. If you're from the US, be aware that the service culture is different. If you are waiting for attentive service at your table, you will wait forever. Just flag them down or get up and go ask for what you want. The same goes for paying your bill. They are respecting your space, so don't get mad or try to educate them on customer service. Be a good American visitor and adapt.

Shopping Trip
The hotel is near the duty free shops. From check in to check out the staff was great. The restaurant offered great food and great prices. Absolutely the best staff on site was the server in the bar and restaurant. She was so attentive and went out of her way to make sure that our every need was met. We loved meeting right on the water watching the sun and listening to the rain at night. For the price you can't beat this place.

Perfect hotel and bar/restaurant on the marina.
Wonderful engaging, helpful and pleasant staff. Went above and beyond to assist. Beautiful sunsets. Sports bar feel. Rooms within the bar area was a new experience.

Our room (#2) was next to the restaurant/bar, the door and window towards the restaurant as well. We ha to have the shades drawn all the time to have some privacy. Despite this very special arrangement, the room was quiet. Very nice and polite personnel.

Nice, open bar in the center with view of their dock from the back. Also, the rooms are quickly accessible, being steps away from the bar and dinning tables.

Nice hotel in Golfito, comfy and safe.
Great hotel in Golfito area. We were given room #3 which has a great view of the bay! The room was clean and had everything we needed: wifi, cable, AC, fridge, cafe maker, and was clean and plenty of space for two. The hotel is designed rather interestingly with one wall looking out into the dinning area/bar. We had the curtains shut the entire time so it was not issue. Despite facing the noise of the bar/dinning area, it was always quiet at night when we went sleep. :) My only gripe is the included breakfast. It was simple and never changed. Not horrible but some more options would be nice. We ate dinner at the hotel once and it was very good, plus they have a very good Happy Hour. Overall, I'd recommend Fish Hook Marina and we'd come back if we visit Golfito again.

Warm staff and very helpful
We arrived late and were greeted with open arms. Nice view of the gulf from the restaurant and common area. Nice dock to get closer to the water.

Good for short stay. There is room for improvement
The location of the hotel is good if you are planning to visit the downtown Golfito area or any other nearby attractions. The hotel is not very big and the parking lot (which is located outside besides the main street in front of the hotel) is quite small. This means that depending on how full is the hotel then you might find some difficulties finding a parking space. The staff is very good and they are very costumer satisfaction oriented. The food in the restaurant is good with prices a little bit trending towards the high side but not being very expensive. The provided included breakfast was quite good and sufficient. The rooms are big and the air conditioning was working properly. The beds were comfortable and clean. The TV (32 inch) was very small considering the size of the room and how far the TV is installed from he beds. The major room for improvement can be fount in the bathroom, in general it looks a little bit old showing sings of wear and tear (although it was clean enough and everything was found in good working condition). If one day the hotel decides to begin a renovation then I would suggest starting from the bathrooms.

酒店位置不错，服务也还可以的，早餐的给一张MENU五个OPTION让选择。WIFI还可以。缺点是，房间的一面窗户可以直接看到大堂，当然了，要是不拉窗帘，大堂也会看到屋子里。有点奇怪。再就是有些客人打台球很晚，我们在房间里面就会听到打台球的声音，休息不好。
