"First, I want to say that the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was OK for 15 euro but walk a block outside the hotel and try other things too. It was clean and efficient if a little too small for me, but for 3 days, it was fine. The stairs can be daunting. There is no A/C but it was Sept and not too bad since the window opened. Just for information the closest metro is Rokin about 150 meters away. Use that to go to and from Amsterdam centraal. Quick, easy tap in tap out. Now the minus's The coffee maker in my room didn't work, the shower drain drained very slowly so there was water all over the bathroom floor when I showered. Could have used fresh towels every day. Not much space in the bath room for toiletries. Otherwise, liked it!"

"If you are looking for a luxury hotel this isn’t it, but for location, friendliness and value, it’s excellent. I stayed in a small double. The bed would be small for two, but the room bathroom was spacious enough when not spending a lot of time there. Breakfast had a broad range of food. Coffee is drip, not my preference but gave me an opportunity to try out a few spots in the neighborhood mid morning. The staff were so friendly and accommodating."

"Excellent stay, close to nearby shopping and the Flower Market. Wonderful breakfast buffet with tons of options. Friendly staff and they even offered free drink tickets if you didn’t need your room turned down for a day. Decent location in relation to the museums."

"It was love at first sight. The hotel is adorable. I would like to hire the decorator to do my home. It was so comfortable and inviting with the perfect mix of styles. Plus we were greeted by a kitty cat & we are huge animal lovers. The staff was friendly & very helpful. Gave great restaurant recommendations."

"Our room was perfect size, clean, bed very comfortable, cleaning staff good and helpful. Reception book in and out was quick and helpful. Information and taxi booking very efficient and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable and sufficient, although the hot food we would have preferred a bit hotter. Staff were friendly and efficient, seated quickly. Gluten free was catered for and lots of choices. One member of staff, Angela Hang, was very helpful with my gf and also very professional, efficient and lovely to talk too. The only problem that we encountered was at breakfast on the Thursday. We felt invisible, seated quickly no problem there, took a while to be asked for our drinks order, was busy so understood, took my gf order. We were not asked for our egg order and could not get their attention, had to as for more milk twice and gave up and went to get. The lad did apologise about the milk. When asked when we left if all was okay I did say and write a comment on what happened. Very apologetic and a note and fruit was sent to our room apologising plus free drinks at the bar. That was nice and it was the only because of 1 member of staff I couldn’t fault the rest. The hotel could not have been more apologetic. Our stay was here was very good and we would return."

"Great little hotel on one of the canals. Super easy to get to with the tram and rideshare. Bright, clean, great staff. Tons of things to do if you get to the corner and go left, towards downtown, or if you turn right towards the Rijks museum. Food, art, shops, art, bikes, art, coffee, art, music, art… and more art. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Great drinks at the bar, and fries! Breakfast was great as well, has all the requirements and a few very local flavors."
