Gozo, Gozo Region hotel rooms at the Independent

"Our room was exceptionally spacious with a mini-fridge, large comfortable bed with soft pillows. We were provided with a large TV with numerous channels, Youtube and Netflix. We sunbathed in a nice area surrounding a small pool. There was also a nice internal pool and spa. A rooftop pool was under construction and I assume would be open to guests in the coming months. The breakdast was pretty good with varied options. The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk to the harbour where there were a variety of restaurants, some with great sea views. The hotel has only recently been built and all the fixtures and fittings are in brand new condition."

"Old hotel which has gone through massive extension with some parts still being worked on. We stayed in the newer part of the building. The room was very big and classic design. Terrace was a big bonus which I did not expect. Staff is very friendly and professional. Outside pool is amazing!!! Breakfast buffet was very good and worth it"

"Townhouse 17 was our favourite place to stay on this trip. We took the fast ferry from Valletta and a bus from the port. The hotel is just steps away with a restaurant attached. The breakfast was incredible and the staff were very kind and service was excellent. We appreciated our server Frances who looked after us during our stay. Thank you!"

"The design is minimalist and clean. The rooms and the entire place are spotless. You only see staff at breakfast and cleaning. Breakfast isn't very good, the food is mediocre, there isn't much variety, and it's very crowded. It feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel; you handle your own check-in."
