"Loved this hotel. Balcony with ocean view, clean room and comfy beds. Staff was SO friendly and accommodating. My ONLY complaint (and this may be a CA Thing) was the bar/restaurant prices. $44 for 2 drinks with an additional 20% tax added to price and regular tax. Also you do have to pay for valet service to even use the EV charger, can’t use it with paid self parking- even though chargers were not being used and it’s only $5 difference. - Sorry no one is driving and parking our Cybertruck thank you very much. That was a bummer. Overall hotel itself, access to the free bikes, distance to beach, cleanliness and service are 5 stars!"
"We loved it-saw a classic cinema movie-had breakfast by the pool. We couldn’t enjoy the whole hotel because pool was closed when we checked-in and the lobby was closed the entire stay. Staff was great and helpful."
"The outside wasn't anything special, and the location right next to the freeway, while convenient, had us nervous. We were so pleasantly surprised by this property! Large spacious rooms with lots of storage for our family of 4- clothes, pool toys, snacks- we were very comfortable. The staff was friendly, discreet and very helpful- extra pillows and towels were brought to us immediately! The location was perfect for short trips to Universal, Griffith Observatory and cute shopping at Magnolia Park. Free parking! We definitely recommend this hotel."
"Great vibes and the best place for quality and ambiance in the area. Cute little restaurant and cafe. The bar service was very staged and inconsistent with quality of service to certain customers; certain customers seemingly had better service based on observation. Drinks were okay but nothing to write home about. The setting at the restaurant was very chill and relaxing. Customer service at the tables were friendly. I little store is a cute stope to grab a souvenir or two. The rooms were clean and updated or repurposed for an older building. The sound proof sliding doors were a highlight for me being next to the highway with lots of road noise.
The only odd thing was the room security latch closed on its own and locked me out of my room. I used the phone to call the front desk to have security help me get back in and they made me walk a couple buildings down and over and then back up to just check my ID to then have them call security to meet me back at the room and wait for them. It was a terrible process. The front desk help wasn’t very apologetic about the room latch failure so it didn’t make me feel like a cared for guest when he said “this is normal and happens all the time” without emotion or concern for me having to go I of my way and paying a lot of money per night to stay there. Not impressed with service of front desk, but I may let that slide and possibly I would stay here again in the future when I’m back in the area. Overall, cute spot worth a try!"
