8/10 Good

"Let's start with the good stuff. The hotel was clean, the staff was amazing. The breakfast was good, but there was no fruit except for wrapped apples. The "snack" in the afternoon from 5:30-7:30 consisted of only chips, salsa, pretzels, and a dip of some kind. In other Embassy Suite hotels I have stayed in, the afternoon happy hour snack was much more varied with veggies, crackers, and fruits. The lights in the outer room of our suite were so dim, one could not read from them. We ended up buying our own lightbulbs (which we took home) for the lamps. But the king bed was wonderful. The chairs in the breakfast eating area were very worn. And the tables, no matter how many times the staff wiped them, were very sticky. The pool is okay, but the whine from the machine behind the pool area was annoying and constant; would have hated to have a room above them on that side. It seems like this hotel has seen better days, and they are cutting corners on some things. Not sure I would stay here again."

"The first steps into our room wanted to be our last. The room was absolutely filthy, box springs looked like they were bought from the dumpster. There was mold in the shower, urine on the wall, god knows what would be there if we had a black light. We spent about 2 minutes in the room and went back to ask if we could get a refund, luckily the staff was understanding and gave us a full refund apart from the day we checked in. Please for your own sake do not stay here."

"The first 2 night and half the second day the air in my room wasn’t working. It was 87 degrees in the room, I told the clerk he said he couldn’t switch my room because they were sold out; however, he will have maintenance come that following morning: which maintenance did and they said the air conditioner was frozen, and to keep it off. I was sweating bullets: it wasn’t until that evening, when someone checked out that I was able to get a room with air. She couldn’t refund my 2 nights because I booked through Expedia, so she gave me a free room"

"I liked location of property walking distance to beach the only set back for us was housekeeping we did not get our room cleaned passed 3:00pm we had stepped away from 8:00am till 3:00 pm room was not cleaned yet this was during our stay when housekeeping was supposed to refresh the room. That was the major down side everything else was good"
