“The eco village is tucked away in the private nature reserve. Wonderful views of springboks as you drive to the eco village on the grounds. Rooms were clean and modern, exceptionally comfortable bed. We will welcomed upon arrival with a glass of port - nice touch. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, tasty food especially the rack of lamb. Stargazing with Eben was an exciting and unique experience. Will stay here again.”

“We stayed here for one night en route to the wine area. Great place to break our journey after driving from Prince Albert, via Swartberg Pass and Cango Caves. Enjoyed a drink on terrace watching sunset over the mountains, before having a lovely meal, cooked and served by the owners. Breakfast on terrace was fresh and tasty too”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place”

“Stayed in one of the cottages for 2 nights. Beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. A private veranda overlooking a gorgeous and interesting garden. I would definitely stay here again. Johan is a great host. There when you need him and respecting your privacy when you don’t. A must”
