Everything was good. Breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful. If you are 6' and over 220lbs. taking a shower will be challenging. Other than that, Casa Leone is a great place in Chania. Get a room with a view to the harbor, you will not regret it.

Parking is a nightmare. Almost impossible. The location is great and convenient. The room is nice however the bathroom is extremely small and almost unusable. Very nosy all night with trash pickup.

Dear Joseph!Thank you for taking time to review your stay!The parking lot, public and free of charge, in Talos Square is crowded enough and happen to be busy especially on check out time and evening hours, but you always can approach an old town by car to unload the bags and then search for the parking.Our hotel is a Venetian villa of 16th century, located in the heart of Chania old town, first line with an outstanding view to Venetian harbor. It is the main attraction where lots for restaurants and cafés are collected.Family used to to live in the house till 1985 and then in 1996 the house has been turned into hotel and then the bathrooms have been added in every room. The bathrooms may be small but functional .Your room used to be a dining room :)However we hope that overall your experience was positive . Thank you and look forward to seeing you again!

I loved this place! It was the best location for dining, shopping, beaches, views and the staff is incredible! I booked the Honeymoon Suite just for the view and I was so happy I did, I had the BEST view. Lots to see and do, I will definitely be back and stay at the Casa Leone Hotel. I can’t say enough good things about the place, you’ll have to visit yourself to find out.

Right on the canal. A true gem of Chania. Amazing spot and friendly personal service. This town is so charming and Casa Leone is part of that!

Thank you Nikolai (sp?) for being a great host. Perfect location, quiet- granted this is off season. Room (#2) and view were magnificent. Laundry service even tho really no staff on hand due to off season. My laptop fan went out and they tried to help me which was much appreciated. As solo traveler felt very safe and secure. Locked gate, locked hotel door and locked room. Balcony view of harbor freight as breathtaking. At night especially when it was all lit. Lighthouse is beautiful. Easy walking to shops and local market. Nikolai even walked me to restaurant around the corner where I ate great local home cooked more than once. Highly recommend and will stay again if I am ever back in Chania, which I hope to be as it is beautiful.

OUTSTANDING!!! We just spent six nights at Casa Leone, and loved it. Olga and the staff were fantastic, and they took great care of us. Breakfast was outstanding, not to mention the location and view. It was extremely relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the scene around the little bay!

The view of the harbour is breathtaking from the property. Also the breakfast provided every morning was so delicious and filling. It’s a great place to stay and the staff were so accommodating with a late check in and check out for us.

We had a terrific time at Casa Leone. Olga was super helpful, booked incredible excursions for us and even prepared early breakfast before our departure. The complementary breakfast was delicious. Hotel is walking distance from many bars and restaurants, and we were mostly able to find public parking for our car rental. Thank you Olga!

Booked last minute and so happy we did.. Only stayed a night but location and the actual hotel were sensational. Only a boutique hotel with 5 rooms and we were treated like family from the moment we booked with emails, instructions etc etc. we were greeted by Yiota in the afternoon to check in and then met Olga in the morning for breakfast. Again we were treated like family and felt right at home. Next visit to Chania will definitely stay again. Although we originally intended on having a car, we did not bring one, probably just as well as I am pretty sure it would have been difficult to secure one close by. Just a word of caution, just in case.

The hotel, the breakfast room, our sleeping room and the entire building were immaculate and beautifully kept . The hotel is seemingly in the middle of everything. But, you enjoy peace and quiet, an elegant breakfast, wonderful air conditioning for sleeping and the sense of being in a beautiful mansion on the sea. Having said all of this the most beautiful thing of all were the hotel ownership and staff who quickly after one conversation became friends. Before we could even ask for something, the staff immediately knew what we needed and had it in hand offering it to us. They were friendly, loving and ready to do absolutely anything to make our stay more comfortable and we’re happy. Absolutely the best! Thank you especially to Olga and Panayiota and Niko!

Lovely Hotel in a Central location
Hotel is in a prime location, just a few minutes walk from a free public car park. Lovely hosts and comfortable room, shower room is compact but adequate. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful and is varied each day.

We had an lovely stay at Casa Leone. The property itself is amazing - it's almost 600 years old, and oozes history and charm, yet it is thoroughly renovated and has all the needed modern creature comforts. Its location is incredible - right on the old Venetian harbor - and great shopping and tons of eating options are just minutes away. No real parking options, so folks who are driving need to consider the difficulty of parking on the street, and several blocks away, at that. But the wow-factor of the property itself, the hospitality of Olga, and the tremendous location make this a fantastic place to choose for your stay in Chania Old Town .

Fantastic Holiday
Wow what a lovely relaxing holiday, just what we needed. Hotel is in a great location on the harbour. Full of charm and character. Olga the host could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble. ( Every hotel needs an Olga). Good breakfast served everyday. Only negative was our shower was very small. Would still definitely consider going again.

A fantastic place to stay in a beautiful old building. The view is incredible and access is easy with free car parking just a short walk away. The staff could not have been more helpful and the room was full of charm. An amazing variety of breakfast served every day. 10/10 experience.

This property is excellent with a great host - Olga. My wife and I have been coming to this same hotel for three years because of Olga. We stayed at a different hotel the first time we visited Chania - Crete. During our next trip to Chania, we decided to try a different hotel for comparison. Our first stay in Casa Leone sealed the deal for us. Once again, you could not find a better host than Olga. Her vast knowledge of Crete is tremendous. Also, the breakfast at this hotel is great.

The location is ideal, the decor eclectic and the staff - especially Olga - first rate. We had the honeymoon suite with large patio balcony overlooking the lighthouse and the harbor. The room was very quiet and breakfast each morning was different and terrific.

Olga, Olga, Olga! She was the best. She arranged taxis, made restaurant reservations, and provided the Cretan experience. A great breakfast provided each morning. If no balcony room, there is a balcony in common area that overlooks the harbor. Only rented a car to see sights across the island. Otherwise, no car needed.

Great location and a very unique hotel. Only thing a little confusing was the payment but it got sorted out quickly. Right on the venetian old harbor area, room had amazing view of the harbor. Staff is there at certain hours, could not be nicer. Thanks for a great time!

Wow. If you plan to stay in Chania, stay with Olga and Casa Leone Hotel. We stayed for five nights for our honeymoon, and we were blown away by the hospitality, the food, the accommodations, I cannot stay enough about how wonderful this place is. On days that we had excursions before breakfast, Olga made us a breakfast for our room and sandwiches to get through the day. The daily breakfast is top notch with choices for any diet. The location is wonderful, easy walk to all the shops and attractions in the Old Harbour. Spend the money for the one-of-a-kind balcony view, it is a great place for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and people watching on the harbour. We will be back, we will tell all our friends, thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Our room overlooked the harbor and had a truly magical view. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. Our only difficulty was the that the wifi didn't work well from our room (it was better in the breakfast area), which made it difficult to research our travel plans each day.

The whole staff members at this hotel treated us like family - especially Olga. My wife and I will always stay at this beautiful boutique hotel whenever we visit Crete. Olga always makes our visit to Crete memorable: she often assist with our daily activities. We have visited multiple islands in Greece, but the breakfast at this boutique hotel was amongst the very best. The breakfast in Santorini will be the only close competitor. I will advise anyone coming to Crete to hurry up and book this hotel - they have limited rooms. You will not be disappointed.

Breakfast was delicious. Property is very historic and located with views of the harbor. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Great location right in the Venetian Harbour with views from our room. Hotel used to be a family home and is still owned by same family Friendly staff. Ladies that provided our delicious breakfast were lovely and took the time to talk to us.

From the start we were made to feel very welcome by the fantastic Olga (the host) The hotel is a small but charming hotel, nice big rooms, comfy beds and a really good breakfast each day! I highly recommend this place, it’s location is perfect and the service was excellent!

Just loved this hotel. It’s old style charming and the staff are so lovely. We felt welcomed and the best part was the breakfast and the afternoon snack we were given whilst having a glass of wine on the balcony. We had the duplex room without a balcony/view which ended up being great. We were told we could use the main room’s balcony at anytime. After a lot of walking there was nothing better than having a glass of wine and the amazing arrangement of appetizers provided and looking out at the view before we headed out for dinner. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious, an assortment of pastries, yogurt, fruit, great coffee. It really was a wonderful experience, so much better than the usual generic hotels.

Excellent accueil, particulièrement par la jeune femme adorable qui s’est occupée de nous au petit déjeuner (elle nous avait également réservé un taxi à notre demande qui nous attendait à l’aéroport et nous a gentiment conduit à pieds jusqu’à la porte de l’hôtel ), la vieille ville étant piétonne. Petit hôtel de charme dans une vieille bâtisse du 14ème siècle rénovée (peu de chambres, donc très agréable à notre goût car accueil personnalisé), en plein cœur de la vieille ville. Chambre confortable et propre dont la décoration nous replonge dans le passé. Réveil magique avec la vue depuis le balcon de notre chambre sur le port vénitien. Bon petit déjeuner dans la pièce principale qui donne sur le port. La dame qui s’est occupée de nous après le check out à notre retour de visite de la ville dans l’après-midi était également adorable et aux petits soins avec nous (nous avions laissé nos bagages pour la journée). Idéal pour une escapade romantique et pour se mettre dans l’ambiance et partir à la découverte de la vieille ville tout en étant proche du parking public.
