Overall Rating: 3 out of 5
βThe hotel lobby was decent, but compared to global hotel standards, the guest rooms feature cheap finishes roughly on par with a low-end motel. The bathroom design allows light to leak out when used late at night, which disturbs other guests' sleep, and the flooring is made of cheap vinyl tiles. Overall, the room quality is simply substandard.
βAs for the service, the lobby staff urgently needs to be retrained in customer service. While they can handle basic administrative tasks without issue, they fall far short of global standards when it comes to proactively identifying and resolving customer inconveniences with a welcoming attitude.
βThis level of quality and service might pass in a local market, but it is highly uncompetitive in Times Square, an area saturated with major hotel chains. On a final note, from a management perspective, minimizing capital investment might yield short-term profits, but in the long run, the RIU brand will inevitably be stigmatized as a cheap, low-end hotel.
βI strongly advise you to start over with your employee training on a global scale.
