Exceptional: the room, the service, the food. Staff was incredibly forthcoming, the bed was really comfortable and the room clean. The food was incredible: the flavours and the preparation. This said, the immediate surroundings are only residential and fields.

Very good to family and beautiful view

Very good room to family with children to stay the night. The unique points to improve is the windown of bathroom without 100% black-out (5am there are a little of ilumination). On the balcony, you can remove the pebbles from the floor so that children don't want to pick them up and throw them on the roof, and there is also a space on the side where a small child could fall. Beautiful view! Total silence.

What a wonderful hotel! We had a view of the Alps. The room was amazing, with top-quality materials and design. Excellent bed. People were super kind, very considerate, and helpful. The breakfast was sensational. The quality/price ratio was exceptional, and the commute to Basel was very short, making it the perfect place to stay. There were four people in our family, sharing one of their larger rooms, and everyone loved their stay. Thank you!

During my recent trip to Basel, I had the pleasure of staying at a charming small hotel located just within the German borders. This delightful establishment is run by a dedicated husband-and-wife team, who may very well be the original owners or perhaps the second generation of their family to manage it. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the auntie who handles the reception. Her friendly demeanor immediately made me feel at home. Meanwhile, her husband is the talent behind the scenes, skillfully working in the hotel’s kitchen. What sets this hotel apart is the quality of its amenities. Every detail reflects a commitment to excellence, from the high-quality materials used in the construction to the exquisite breakfast spread offered each morning. The breakfast featured top-notch products, and each bite was a testament to their dedication to providing the best for their guests. Among the staff, Jany stood out with her cheerful and efficient service. She tirelessly attended to every table, ensuring that each guest’s needs were met with a smile. To the entire team at this wonderful hotel, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Your hard work and warm hospitality made my stay truly memorable.

Beautiful property, friendly staff. We had room 26 which was large, comfortable and has a beautiful terrace. The restaurant has fantastic dinner options and excellent quality. The only downside to the hotel is that it is not walkable to town. However, if you have a car, it is not a problem. Great choice, great value. Strongly recommend!

We arrived late, we had booked a room without carpets due to allergies. We arrived too late at 10pm. The room we booked was no longer available to so we took what was given to us 2 rooms with carpets, which 1 member of our party was sneezing due to carpet allergies. The breakfast, and restaurant area is new and there seems to be newly renovated rooms which we had booked thru Expedia, but we got an older part of hotel rooms (2 rooms instead of one). Staff was friendly & professional. If you are arriving late and have ALLERGIES to carpet, or other I do not recommend a stay here. Breakfast was nice, staff was nice and they prepared a salad and sandwich for us upon late arrival. There seems to be a forest close by, and farms, and only 10 minute drive from the expensive Basel area.
